  1. The thing that I noticed about Michigan when they played Miami is that they start out like gangbusters, but don't appear to have the gas to finish it out. They absolutely rolled over Miami in the first half of both games and then let them back in it. Playing Michigan will probably be tough in the first sprint part of the game, but I would definately put my money on the Sioux for the marathon, especially after the come back against Denver.
  2. My real worry about Miami passing us for a #1 seed is that we will probably get sent out to the Springs for the regional. The NCAA likes to do that to the WCHA - put the two toughest WCHA teams in the same bracket so they can minimize the chances of more than 1 WCHA team getting to the Frozen Four. They've done it the last couple of years with UND and the goofs. Wouldn't it be fun to have enough WCHA teams in the tourney to have at least 2 if not 3 come out of the regionals to be able to "smile" back at the NCAA. Not going to happen, but it would be fun.
  3. Amazing how one game between Mankato and Nebraska-Omaha can have such an effect on the rankings. Things are incredibly volatile. It will be interesting to see how things shake out after this weekend, especially with the Princeton/Clarkson game - that game is supposed to really shake things up. With Duluth falling to a tie for 14 they are going to be even more hungry this weekend.
  4. There was a blurb in the Herald sometime last week that said the case was being moved from municipal court to district court. It didn't give any explanation for the move - maybe had something to do with TJ still being on probation.
  5. I thought it was rude and crude when it was initially written and then to see people defending this attitude really pissed me off. Say that to my face and you'll be lying on the floor checking out the ceiling and it won't have to be "my time of the month" for me to do it either.
  6. Guess they take "taking a leak in public" just as serious in Latvia. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23258978/
  7. Slackers
  8. OH NO! He's a curse.
  9. After Sunday's game does the Princeton/Clarkson game still have the same importance? And will that be enough to move both Wisco and the goofers up?
  10. Some interesting quotes from PCM's article on Sunday's game. http://www.uscho.com/recaps/20072008/m/02/24/bsu-und.php Quote: "Junior forward Andrew Kozek

  12. First off, let me say I don't think TJ will win the Hobey. He should, but I don't think he will. There is lots of talk that TJ "pissed" his way out of it. While I don't condone his behavior, I get very frustrated that there is so much talk within the "hockey press" that Nathan Gerbe from BC is a "legitimate" contender for it. Gerbe has been "warned" twice by the HE league and then suspended for at least one game by the HE LEAGUE for dirty "on ice" incidents, one of which was butt ending another player. The "hockey press" has consistantly said "to err is human, to forgive is divine" and that those incidents should be overlooked and the "whole" of his play should be considered. If in truth the Hobey is decided on the whole of a players accomplishments and character, TJ wins this hands down. Edit: It would be cool if someone could put together a video of all the times TJ has fought his way through "checks" (make that tackles) to make a play to be sent to the Hobey judges - it probably wouldn't be considered, but it would be nice to know they at least had the "evidence" and then chose to ignore it.
  13. Somebody get out the calculators
  14. AZ, Any chance Jonesy can/will work his way back into the Phoenix line-up?
  15. WAY COOL!!!!
  16. They could also probably use a goon or two like Commy and Greene. (do you think the Devils would miss Zach and Travis? )
  17. I was at the game and while the Sioux did not, by any means, stink up the joint, they sure were not even close to being on top of their game. Bemidji played well, but not a 1-0 score well. The Sioux had 33 shots on goal, but very few of the "oh, darn, that should have gone in" variety, and not many of the "Wow - the goalie sure stole that one". It actually felt like Aaron had the majority of hard saves. I was very nervous the entire 2nd and 3rd periods because it just didn't feel like the Sioux were in control and every Beaver posession felt like a major threat. I'm VERY happy we got the win, but we will not get by playing like this the rest of the way out. Duluth is smarting from the spanking they got from CC this weekend and SCSU is playing for an NCAA berth so both will be coming out with all they have.
  18. While I'm not in favor of having Murder Inc. T-shirts, after reading your 3 posts it appears to me your sensibilities may be a little tender for this big bad game of hockey.
  19. I am somewhat concerned about today. I think the Sioux will win, but unless they can generate more interest and intensity than in the 3rd yesterday, it could be a long afternoon. Bemidji will also come out with something to prove and will probably play harder. I hope Hak starts Walski because it could help the boys with the focus by wanting to play well in front of him and help him out.
  20. They got him for a steal too.
  21. Fixed your post - Don't want them to lose on April 12.
  22. Brodeur had the assist on that goal.
  23. I know that a loss to Bemidj hurts us in the pairwise, but does a win (or two) help us move out of a tie with Miami?
  24. CSTV doesn't put an e-mail address on their site - at least I couldn't find one when I was trying to bitch about the fact that they had a video on Eric Ehn saying he was the Hobey Baker winner last year.
  25. Tech is tied for 22nd (last of the 22 ties). Need them to win to stay a TUC.
