I don't think the season is over after this first game. Not even close. If the offense can get it together they can make a game out of BG. We need to get rid of these early jitters. Look at our game last year against a top defense as in NDSU. They made us look down right foolish. This game was no different. We need to get back on track and get the offense going. We easily could have won this game but now we need to play better the rest of the year. Thank baby Jesus that we have a great defense!

I'm pretty sure football has huge potential for being on ESPN highlights/scores to national broadcasts. If moo u can make it big nationally Then UND can too. Look at their NFL recruits making news too. football at UND will only get bigger and better. man our hockey only crowd is annoying. Women's hockey is good for developing Olympians in a sport that no one watches or cares about on the women's level.

Men's football and women's hockey is no comparison. One has fans and one does not. One has huge national exposure potential and one does not. Football will never go from UND. Women's hockey is a huge waste of money and should be cut because colleges should start focusing on their main mission, educate students. I could care less if UND had less student athletes because in the end it doesn't affect the education of students.

There are only 4 realistic sports to cut that the Big sky doesn't sponsor: mens swimming diving womens swimming diving womens softball womens hockey w hockey would be the easiest to cut to make the goal of 1.4 million but not many donors would be happy, i.e. Marvin type of donors we could easily move to the summit and the mvfc but an invite from he mvfc is unlikely. We could possibly join the WAC fbs and join the summit for the remaining sports but it is uncertain when that league will be built. I feel very content in the big sky and we just need to cut non core sports. everyone was up in arms when eddy announced program cuts out of a sudden, and now everyone is getting mad at Kennedy for taking the process slower and by notifying the stakeholders that some more sports may be cut. I don't see these future cuts as a negative and see them as a very good decision for UND's future.

I'm pretty sure Philly needs more help than at QB! There was a ton of talent available. I just can't understand what they are thinking.

He was the second overall pick and he gets put on the bench. I don't see the reason or value in that when they could have drafter a starter at any other position.

I overheard some bison fans today saying Wentz didn't look too great in his first preseason game. I bit my tongue and didn't say anything. I had a feeling he wouldn't be ready for the pros right away, but could be a big time player in the future once he gets used to the fast pace.

Yeah I don't think your game attendance will go down drastically for a while unless you see losing seasons which is not very likely. When I talk about your bandwagon fans I am talking about the casual fans that watch maybe a few games a year and think they are real Bison fans. They are the same people who travel to Frisco but never attend a previous NDSU game all year. They also could not name a NDSU coach or player from the 90's or 00's. I wish those bison fans would push NDSU for an annual game. I wouldn't care if UND lost 10 straight the game still needs to happen.

Yet how many bandwagon fans have you gained after the last 6 years? 100% more 50%? Once the playoff success goes away will you retain those fans? I see not. A majority of the people in the state want this game every year just like it used to be and just like it should be.

We will see if NDSU thinks they are too good to play a low life like UND when they start having mediocre seasons. They will be crawling back sooner or later! its the typical NDSU vibe of thinking they are superior to every one else, explains who their fans think they can compete in a big 12 type of league. Keep dreaming!

Yeah I agree big plays could win it for your team. UND is not much of a big play team and more pound the ball down the middle until we break one. You guys did lose some key players but your non conference performance last year proves the returning starters are no slouch. The keys to winning this game will be to win the battles up front. How is your d line and linebacking core? If you can stop the run we may be in trouble with a still developing passing offense. I have a feeling it will be a pretty good battle up front with your OL against our DLine. Our defense is no cupcake and the only unproven position is the cornerbacks. If you can get your new QB going with his receivers you may be able to beat this defense. For UND, we need to win these key battles, manage the turnovers, and execute on special teams.

For NDSU's sake hopefully these recent poor decisions don't "sink the ship". NDSU's success won't last forever so burning bridges is a bad idea. Bresciani needs to go as he probably has had his hands in these decisions. He is also prob the reason for no annual rivalry with UND. That rivalry means only good things for the state. Once UND rises to a higher level in football and the Bison fall some you will see NDSU begging for the rivalry back.

Well Grady not playing to start the season is better than him leaving or getting hurt in the middle of the season. Time to develop and gain experience for the next man up! i really hope the people in Newtown tried to support and encourage him to keep playing but unfortunately there are some bad influences on the reservation.

We can't possibly use the hawk alone. It looks ridiculous. I thought the whole point of this logo was to have the ND and hawk together. I like the idea of it on one side but smaller and number on the other side

News to me. They are the ones who think they are gods gift to football. It's about time they get the same hard knocks as the rest of us. In the case of that Luke kid if I had a ton of talent and could start anywhere I would not want to play for the bison and risk not getting playing time.
