Simple. Let the students be students and cut all the nanny state rules. It’s really that simple. The REA killed the atmosphere with their rules

Seriously everyone it not about this logo or that logo it’s about a fun atmosphere or a boring atmosphere. When I am at home and I am bored I’m always on my phone. When I was in the student section I didn’t have time to be on my phone because the atmosphere was fun and engaging. We weren’t even that bad either and now the rules are even worse. keep blaming the logo and we will get nowhere. Look at the tailgating at the football games last year. I never saw anything nearly as big as that when I was at UND. We need to get that crowd into the game and to do that we need to make it as fun as the tailgate. Make it cheesy and students will just sit on their phone and end up leaving early

Letting them stand and be rowdy will help a great deal. They are adults so let them do what they want to a certain extent. The student sections at St. Cloud and Duluth look pretty fun still. The REA is worse than going to church.

At least the beer lady brought excitement to the students and crowd. If beer lady isn’t the way to bring excitement then what’s your idea. Please don’t force your boring on all of us.

The students are not free to have fun or do anything anymore that includes standing up when they are not supposed to. The REA is at big fault for neutering the student section....

Maybe he can fix his big mistake of a logo he picked. Biggest flop in the recent history of UND . Ed can stay retired.

I think Kennedy has done a great job. It’s got to be tough dealing with the irrational people in ND and CO

Hagerott is a worse than many of you realize, he should be canned with Kennedy. He is guilty of everything you guys accuse Kennedy of doing except he is actually sexist. I would take Kennedy over Hagerott any day.

If I was Kennedy Id make the state buy me out and retire. I wouldn’t deal with all this drama. What a sheet show.

Ha they have nothing to talk trash about. A couple good seasons but they are still beatable every year by fcs schools.

Still a waste of money. It can stay with the curling clubs. That is where all the players would come from anyways.

There are enough sports already. Institutions should be focusing on academics and finding ways to keep college affordable. Curling simply is not big enough country wide so there is no point sponsoring it for a select few northern states.

Speedway is the best place in town we always try to stop at. The speedway burger is amazing! Also have to get ham and cheese balls and fries with some speedway sauce!!! Dang this is making me hungry....

Day 1 was a little empty. The tourney may have survived compared to the others around the country but no where near the numbers when UND was in it. I would hope a Duluth/St Cloud championship game would be well attended as their towns are both less than.2 hours away with a huge number of local alumni. UND better get their act together and sell more tickets for the NCHC next year.

So how empty will the Xcel be this weekend without UND in the tourney? Will we finally see how pathetic the rest of the NCHC fan base really is? It will be a shame if the tourney flops because UND didn’t make it.
