  1. Yeah I’m already screwed. Hopefully no more whistles or goals. That first goal emptied my beer
  2. Drinking game starts now. drink every time we see a Sioux jersey!
  3. Hagerott is a worse than many of you realize, he should be canned with Kennedy. He is guilty of everything you guys accuse Kennedy of doing except he is actually sexist. I would take Kennedy over Hagerott any day.
  4. If I was Kennedy Id make the state buy me out and retire. I wouldn’t deal with all this drama. What a sheet show.
  5. Ha they have nothing to talk trash about. A couple good seasons but they are still beatable every year by fcs schools.
  6. Still a waste of money. It can stay with the curling clubs. That is where all the players would come from anyways.
  7. There are enough sports already. Institutions should be focusing on academics and finding ways to keep college affordable. Curling simply is not big enough country wide so there is no point sponsoring it for a select few northern states.
  8. Speedway is the best place in town we always try to stop at. The speedway burger is amazing! Also have to get ham and cheese balls and fries with some speedway sauce!!! Dang this is making me hungry....
  9. Day 1 was a little empty. The tourney may have survived compared to the others around the country but no where near the numbers when UND was in it. I would hope a Duluth/St Cloud championship game would be well attended as their towns are both less than.2 hours away with a huge number of local alumni. UND better get their act together and sell more tickets for the NCHC next year.
  10. https://www.google.com/amp/www.spokesman.com/stories/2019/mar/19/john-blanchette-geno-crandall-knows-all-about-dogg/%3famp-content=amp interesting article on former player Geno Crandall. Anyone watch him this year? He play a lot after coming back from injury?
  11. So how empty will the Xcel be this weekend without UND in the tourney? Will we finally see how pathetic the rest of the NCHC fan base really is? It will be a shame if the tourney flops because UND didn’t make it.
  12. There is no reason why the gopher game should be empty. They have population base way over 3 million people to pull from in the Minneapolis area plus it is in the State of Hockey! Are you telling me there is only enough hockey fans in msp to fill up the Xcel? The state tournament also pulls people from across the state so that leaves less tickets for the msp fans. I know people who wanted to go to the games but the tickets were crazy expensive. You would think people would still want to go to a Gopher game but that’s not the case.
  13. The whiners on stoolND was that it’s unfair to judge because the state tourney was going on at the same time. So high school hockey is a bigger deal than college hockey in MN, wow. If UND can have decent attendance with Dierks playing across town in a city of grand forks size there is no excuse for the gophers.
  14. Horrible idea. Not enough teams in the state for it to really make sense. Travel schedules would make it unaffordable for many schools.
  15. He buys a lot of ND crude for his refineries and they are heavily involved in the ethanol business so that’s maybe why they are supporting the ag university
  16. President Kennedy was on what’s on your mind this morning and answered all of the tough questions that have been in the news. I think he is doing a great job and I’m glad he is the president at UND!
  17. Beating NDSU 11 years ago is something no one remembers in WY. I live in WY and joke all the time around the office that the real national championship was being played one weekend and no one knew what I was talking about when I mentioned NDSU. NDSU is about as nonrelevent in WY as any other FCS school like MT or MT state. This is about the biggest lie I have ever read from an NDSU troll on this forum. Even WY doesn’t have time for their bragging about JV stats.....
  18. Sure is strange the midstream company they are partnering with doesn’t want to be publicly identified. This is very unusual because when big projects or partnerships are signed they want the media to report about it to look good in front of the investors. They must also have some doubts to whether this refinery will actually be built. I don’t think Calumet or MDU wanted to sink anymore money into the unprofitable Dickinson refinery. They had the opportunity to spend more money to make the refinery more efficient, but decided to just cut their loses and sell out.
  19. This is also a big reason we would not see a plastics manufacturing boom in ND. Finding people with expertise to move to the heart of the Bakken is a huge hurdle for this kind of development. We have seen it in the oil field right now where people from down south have all kinds of local options to stay in Texas especially with the boom in the Permian.
  20. Are you serious, it’s like you are trying to prove my point that you have no ideas what you are talking about? You are wrong to say that Calumet was the original owner as it was built by MDU and Calumet 50/50. are you seriously trying to compare Edmonton to Williston???? Edmonton is the oil and gas center of Alberta with huge existing industries. They have no worse geography for producing plastics and I would argue that it is an exponentially better place to build a plastics hub. Only some random one off company is trying to sell this idea of a ethane plant in ND. You actually have the big players in the game getting involved in the plants in Edmonton. Just because Marathon and Phillips 66 are present in ND is no reason for them to build a one off plant in ND. They are focused on buying crude in ND to ship it to their existing refineries across the country. They have no interest in building a plastics plant in ND. Oneok and Targa are midstream companies that mainly transport the oil and gas produced in ND. They don’t own the products they transport and simply are paid to move/process producers oil and gas. They would have zero stake in an ethane plastic plant other than providing the plant with ethane. It’s no different than a pipeline supplying oil to a refinery. i think you should leave this discussion to people who actually know what they are talking about. You are adding no value to this conversation. Maybe you should stick to ludicrous topics such as Montana and Idaho moving to the summit!
  21. That refinery will be a flop. Just another investment for investors to lose their shorts on.
  22. The Dickinson plant failed because it could not compete with the lower price producers once the increased demand for diesel ceased in ND. Without the oil boom there was no need for more fuel in ND with all the other suppliers. Tesoro bought the it and it could not make any profit so now they are retrofitting it to process vegetable oils into biofuels. The demand in CA for biofuels is skyrocketing due to new regulation requirements. Sounds like little modifications will be need to get the plant ready to process veg oils. Once again you don’t know what you are talking about just like these big sky to FBS threads. I’d quit while your ahead.
  23. I agree too but it just needs to make economical sense or we will not see the investment. The urea fertilizer plant idea was genius except there is only room in the state for one or maybe 2 of them. New refineries in the state will be a bust just like the MDU funded one by Dickinson. It takes solid economics to make these opportunities a long lasting endeavor.
  24. So you are telling me it’s cheaper to ship finished product via rail and ship to Asia than it is to ship the ethane via pipeline to existing petrochemical hubs in the USA and Canada. There is a reason this ethane cracker hasn’t been built in ND. While we all would like to see this plant built in ND this is far from reality and the state will not and should not spend billions to fund this project. new refineries do not make sense in ND because there is no incremental demand anymore for more fuels. A new fertilizer plant in ND make sense because of abundant and cheap natural gas with the final product being in need within the immediate region. There is not enough plastic demand close enough to ND to make this ethane plant feasible. If it was such a great idea it would already be funded and built.
