  1. To take this job right now means the guy has a ton of confidence and that's a good thing. Not to pile on Jake........on 2nd thought why not. I was concerned with Jake because my sources also said he was a real dumb dumb in school, barely eligible type dumb dumb. I wonder about his confidence level in his home town, his alma mater, the fear of everything imploding on him and lots people saying, ya, we knew he was a dumb dumb.(6 dumbs in a post, might be a record)
  2. Don't forget the team GPA!!
  3. Chaves. I recall him pretty much burying the EWU Athletic Department and UND overlooked that little detail. Lots told me he is really impressive in person.....never saw nor felt that from him. And now this pissante is setting UND Football back atleast 3-4 years, likely longer.
  4. Griz have always had a lot of staying power in FCS, even when they aren't good.
  5. If TSU can win and become relevant, same challenge as everyone else......5-6, 4-7, 6-5 the last 3 seasons.
  6. Correct, NDSU isn't going to look at UND's O-line coach who has no experience as an OC. If Danny was still in GF I doubt NDSU would look at him either. These options don't make any sense.
  7. Really.....I had to look up Tenn. St., know absolutely nothing about them and not very impressed after looking.
  8. That is the entire NDSU O-line right, from 9 man football right??
  9. Ya, we are loaded with 215 lb tweeners that are not big/strong enough to play LB and not athletic enough to play safety. We could write a book on it.
  10. Our TEs could use a rest, let all the breaks and sprains heal with their hands/fingers from this past season.
  11. I took the info from St. Thomas Bio but from the Temple Bio it looks like 2019 and 2020 were not as QB Coach, only 2021 was he official QB Coach. Thanks!!
  12. 4 year OC and 3 year QB Coach at Temple......I kind of see it. I suppose it's all comparative. Given the timing it's not too bad. (correction - only 1 year QB Coach at Temple and 2 years as an analyst)
  13. Blind resume meaning what?
  14. Normally they outkicked their coverage at FBS. FBS schools miss on players, too, doesn't mean they are going to be a contributor at FCS. I would guess it's 50/50 on what you are getting with FBS drop downs. Obviously a Power 5 is more likely to just be buried behinds tons of talent and is more attractive.
  15. Jake Landry cliff notes- in order, highlights in bold 3 year starter at UND, last 2 Season Captain 2 years at UMD, WR Coach 3 years at FBS NIU, 2 as QB Coach, 1 year as LB Coach 2 year OC at Wisc-Lacrosse, record setting seasons 1 year back at NIU, RB Coach (makes me think this was paid position and prior stop was more of a GA??) 3 years at Temple, QB Coach 2 year OC and QB Coach at St. Thomas
  16. Sam King.
  17. New strength coach, new QB. I believe those were Bubba decisions. Not defending, UND needs a top 10 year, playoff win, no getting our _ss kicked on the road or in playoffs.
  18. Maybe he's looking for an OC?
  19. Might need a wellness check if we don't hear from him by morning.
  20. More often than the WR coach, less often than the QB coach, just spit balling but I believe this to be true.
  21. Where is The Sicatoka? Perfect time for his O-Line post!!
  22. Everything starts up front with the O-line. O-line Coach knows RB and TE blocking responsibilities. O-Line coaches have a base belief and strong working knowledge of blocking concepts in run/pass game. O-Line, especially Center has in game checks and their O-line Coach teaches them. O-Line coaches are involved in schematics with OC I believe in most cases. (If we can't block it, we can't run it). O-Line coach knows realistic timing of each play. Playing time helps anywhere from a little to quite a bit. It's never hurt a coach having a ton of playing time.
  23. Aside from a starter having the experience to actually run an offense live, 2-minute, audibles, RPOs, hot routes, check with me, all sorts of in game adjustments and abilities/responsibilities to change plays and work with OC on what he's seeing and possible input on game plans, nothing.
  24. Other than the picks vrs the Red Raiders, Joel was a really good player and the position he coached, safeties, pretty much runs the D. Those are big differences. I am much more on the Pawlak side if internal.
  25. I've known Luke since the 1st day he stepped on campus and we still talk. He's surely qualified, but I don't see a way UND can lure him.
