  1. Although there should have been a smoked filled room and bourbon and this should be off the ground already in my opinion. A NLI Collective I think that's what the NCAA is calling it........the technical term for paying players now.
  2. Advocating and researching, not hating. https://hornswithheart.org/ HawkswithHeart. Copy and Paste.
  3. As The Sic. has been mentioning our University has put on the blinders and will not touch this.......I am hearing. But we, or anyone, or any company doesn't need their permission either to do it, so that's a net win in my book. Do we have any attorneys on the form? Please get started.
  4. Montana State announced they are launching a Football NLI collective. How to best utilize the funds is open for debate........
  5. NIL Collectives can be sport specific, position specific, and player specific but seems like it's trickier at the player specific level.
  6. Absolutely!!......unfortunately. I will let the o-lineman at NDSU know this via a handwritten message from Austin. Texas copied the hand sign so that part of the transition will be easy.
  7. The SS.com QB fund will provide $5,000 per year for 3 QBs on the team for example. Who's in??
  8. Sounds like a losing strategy at UND. The easiest way is probably a shotgun approach by position group like the Texas O-lineman. (which started at $50,000/year but I see it's up to $150,000 now) No wonder these players need agents now. Half these students probably make more than their parents. This is going well. The Pancake Factory is set to begin August 1, 2022, with a total of $800,000 annually earmarked for the offensive line sponsorship. This, along with the Clark Field Collective, another company sponsoring Texas players, means each Texas OL will be making at least $150,000 per season.
  9. NIL Collective and Agents will randomly pay/recruit athletes with no direction from Boosters/Coaching staff....... Good one!! Might as well get my 5th booster shot, too.
  10. At the direction of whom? What recruit needs to be paid? How much did the staff promise?
  11. If Bobby Po won't take you there is still Jason Brown right?
  12. Who offers these deals (money) to the players then? Is this some Ben Newman off the books type sh_t?
  13. This is "thee" near term competitive advantage tool!! If we snooze and play catch-up later it will be a missed opportunity. I've voiced my opinion to the University already.
  14. Everyone thinks a non-running QB running is a great idea until Braden Hanson is taking a nap on the field vrs Cal-Poly. Tommy isn't a runner, QV2 not much of a runner either. Tommy has a better feel for the game, timing, instincts. QV2 probably can make some longer throws. Tommy has the experience and if he's to take the next step it would be this season. If he isn't better than last season maybe give QV2 a game. I joke about Tommy Gun and QV2 but the guy that should play........is whomever gives us the best chance to win. I suppose Danny's opinion is the one that matters.
  15. Someone everyone here knows said he could have made Studsrud an All-American in his system. (not my words although I generally agree, All-American might be a little lofty)
  16. Until QV2 moves a pile or proves to be dynamic we have a 1 QB system. If it's something other than 90/10 for a healthy Tommy Gun I'll be surprised.
  17. I was just having some fun!! I knew it would trigger. 1-23 in the last 24 games........Go Wildcats!!
  18. Thundering Turd still with the Lucky Charm on Scheduling. Arizona has 1 Win and 23 Losses in their last 24 games including last season's loss to NAU. What a joke they have been. It's going to be tough to suck that bad again this year but they'll find a way come September 17th for sure.
  19. The only football leagues with staying power have been College FB, NFL, and Lingerie football. A Semi-Pro division might have some relevance because it's feeding the NFL but prior to the NLI and transfer portal crap College FB has been all about tradition. UND back to the Valley gave us what back?....tradition, which is a solid foundation. Football is on a slippery slope with it's divisions but hopefully the "Pandemic" and Wokeism crap is behind us.
  20. Too much baggage for Bobby Petrino........ouch!! Maybe the dipshit Wyatt Wheeler should do a follow-up story on this. Thankful to cover sports in SGF and write for y'all. You guys treat kids like kids. Y'all don't get personal with the athletes and you treat them with respect even after a bad game or a decision that goes against your team. Thank you. It's not like that everywhere, apparently. - Wyatt Wheeler. (talking about UND Fans)
  21. And here I thought all along the kicker warms up and tells the ST coach the max distance he can make it given the conditions. Maybe the higher FBS expectations will add 10 yards to his kicks.
  22. There will be a much higher level of kicking at FBS, that's for sure. I mean the ball is, the distances, the timing, the angles, the level of competition, goal posts..........nevermind.
  23. Now that the news is out.....I think this ends badly for Otis. Missouri State, especially with Petrino, players are dispensable. If/When players don't make it on the field or class he will bring in new ones the following year and won't give AF. Bubba and UND on the other hand, pretty much the complete opposite, sometimes to a fault.
  24. As the trend of the tough yards continued in predictable situations I thought we'd start to see a little more play action last season.
