Sometimes roughness is necessary. I loved Mason Bennett lighting that guy up on the INT!! It was a close call on the penalty.

Tournament of Legends- Rick Flair is the 1 seed, Ditka 2, Protheroe is the 3 seed, Chuck Norris is the 4 seed. So Flair vrs Norris Ditka vrs Protheroe

UNI at #22. With a loss against SU they will only move up a few spots and secure a play-off spot. Interesting that Idaho St. is behind us........ It looks to me that 7-4 will not get us in the top #24. Montana game is pretty much the season!! Personally, I always liked a revenge game!!

I agree. Cal Poly against Eastern Washington, 70-17 to add some perspective. Cal Poly had 412 rushing yards and 32 1st downs against the Griz. Sac St. rushed for 251, 5.8 per carry against the Griz. Seriously, what more could we ask for.

Montana, the team that lost to Western Ill., and Montana St. beat Western Ill if anyone noticed. Sac St. and Cal Poly rushed all over the Griz. Cal Poly turned the ball over too much including a fumble 6. The Griz run D is so bad it managed to make Smok'n Joe Perothroe look relevant again. (He's not) NDSU made Cal Poly look like a high school team. Let's stop creaming our pants about Montana, we could not have played any worse our last few meetings and barring major injuries in our bye week we will be healthy. I swear half our posters man crush on the Griz. We better win this frickin game!!

I think our O- line, QB, and OC would struggle against either team. Next year, we should have more experience at O-line and QB, might be up to the challenge. Our corners and WRs, too, may struggle. I do think we are a few key players away from competing. A stud WR can do a lot for the O just as a shutdown corner can do for a D. I wore a gray Fargo Force shirt, as I have billeted a number of years for them.

Yes, watching 2 top FCS teams live that are not UND gives great perspective!!

SU vrs Jack's. 3-4 plays are the difference. 1st quarter, Jacks throw a pick in the endzone from about the 10 yard line. SU covers their quads left, SU has a back side D-back that settles in the middle and the QB threw it right to him. (-7 or -3 points for Jacks) Stick fumbles on his own 20. Looked like the Jacks covered but the pile up was 5 minutes long and SU recovers (-7 or -3 again for Jacks) Stick threw a pick on Jacks 20. (-3 or -7 for SU) Overall, both of their QBs are complete studs. They run so well, it's hard to defend!! Stick got lit up after a throw but the dude is tough as nails, didn't phase him. Shepherd, SU WR looked like a pretty good player but the rest of their WRs are nothing special. Jacks had a WR that caught EVERYTHING!! They had a speed guy, too, dropped a deep pass in the game and didn't battle too well for an end zone pass. Both teams are so solid. Jacks last possession down 4 points sucked, Sioux Sports would be calling for OC's his head after a run, run, swing pass 5 yards short of 1st down. A missed assignment made it look like a poor call, and this happens, players make mistakes on other teams, too. Both teams took their share of deep throws. Both teams probably have better corners than us although Holm has taken a big step this year. Also, both teams effectively screen pass by doing it outside the box. The UND screen with Santiago in the box.....well, hasn't worked. I showered twice last night. Got to catch up with Luke S., coach for the Jacks, after the game!!

Absolutely. I was volunteering for Youth Hockey Into Camp in Fargo and some Bison Club guys were volunteering too. I confessed my love for UND Football and Bison Hockey and the next session, they brought me a shirt!!
-
I could wear my Bison Hockey T shirt, cause I like UND Football/Bison Hockey. That's acceptable, right?

I am heading undercover on Saturday. My buddy coaches for the Jacks. It will be painful, for sure, unless the Jacks win, then a lot less painful, but still a little painful just being there. I will have a 1st hand look, good eye test for comparison to UND. I plan on wearing a Fargo Force tee shirt to avoid any conflict by the small % of fans that are total dipsh-ts.

He looked the most disappointed of any player after the game......
-
What is the time frame? How long will the link be open? The more we win the more some may want to give.
-
Protheroe vrs. Will Ratelle 2015. We all know who won that battle......it's a good thing the rest of the team picked up the slack for Will!!
-
Leerfield would lose their mind because it might hurt their food sales or offend another sponsor, plus they didn't get a committee formed to study the move for 18 months. Great Idea Though!!
-
I am thinking $50 per point margin of victory. You wouldn't want to do this if you were a Jacks fan!!
-
Yep, the 1st quarter and most of the 1st half was controlled by us, Sam H. had the ball for about 12 minutes.(or 18 for UND) Which I think provided the rest for the D to shut them down in the 4th. Is Sam H. would have controlled the 1st half we could have gassed pretty easy. So a team game, offense and defense, and a good team win at Sam H.

$1,325.00 thus far. No garbage can, but there is a tracking measurement.

It is exhausting and mentally challenging on a defense.......I lived thru Hedberg as offensive coordinator. His basic crap worked against average teams, and got stuffed by the good teams. At Nebraska-Ohama one year we had to chase Martay Jenkins around for 86 plays. DB's never subbed. (we lost that game, zero offense) (Jenkins was very fast) Jenkins - In 2000, he played in 16 games finishing with an NFL record of 2,186 kickoff return yards. On December 10, Jenkins broke three league records in a 44-10 Cardinals loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, that included the record for kickoff returns in a season, kickoff return yardage in a season and combined kickoff and punt return yardage in a season.[5]

Just win and any team in front of us by 3 to 5 spots loses, we jump them.*** ***Unless it's UNI or a team entirely made up of mini Protheroe's

This is my point, the taller the d-back the more the hang and drag works on short backs. Deion took a shot and he bounced right off, nothing to hit. Kelly Howe, 6'5" safety came up with the technique!!
-
The short RB's were the toughest to tackle like the Bearkat RB. As a secondary it's hard to get a shot on these types of guys to chop them down so we always just grabbed on and held on up high. They can't run with a guy hanging around their neck, legs get tangled up in theirs. It was a little goofy, but effective, the form tackle goes right out the window sometimes.

Finalist, come tournament of champions at year end??
