I will save everyone the suspense. Montana State will probably fumble the opening kick-off, rush for 70 yards in the entire game, throw 3 picks, and have 8 false starts. The same as 90% of all the games in Fargo. Why bother -

Schleusner is few pounds short of Blair even.
-
At the beginning, middle, and end of the day it is a humongous factor and advantage. Stepps - played D-back Agnew - played RB Gigle - played DL Schmitty - played LB Joel S. - played Safety Danny - back where he belongs with QB's and OC Luke - played O-line At the position coach level, these guys lived the fine details. For a WR coach, teach our guys how to get open, catch the ball, and block, 1st hand knowledge is preferable.
-
That would be amazing, but I see WD more as a guy that spends a few weeks in GF advising compared to taking a full time position. UNLESS, he has coaching aspirations, then gotta start somewhere!!
-
Most are hyperventilating over new blood and DI experience with all hires. What DI position coach is looking for a lateral move?? We are looking at FBS/FCS grad assistants or DII or DIII guys, or someone that recently played at a high level with no coaching experience. A WR coach can be a young and inexperienced guy, backed by playing experience, my 2 cents.

this sums up our old system

Stay tuned - 2019 UND Football!!
-
Let's start with this for the offense.......don't go to the line and try making 3-4 checks while no one can hear you to run a toss play!! It was embarrassing.
-
Right, Danny's OC career won't be defined by his 2nd game against the best FCS program in history coming off another Natty, that's just stupid. I do expect more than 40 yards of offense which UND had last time while the game was still within reach!!
-
Ya, he'd suck, coagulated blood.
-
Tempo, perimeter, ball in space, explosive plays, players' strengths, simple concepts so players can play fast!! I am nearly speachless!!
-
We did, but in hindsight maybe it isn't fair to hand a guy the keys to a hooptie and expect luxury performance.
-
I was thinking our internal staff.
-
.....anything to do with incoming OC??
-
Yay....we are all winners!! I am putting this in the lamo catagory.
-
Agree here, could be Fruend, could be 'new blood'.
-
I agree with this or I wouldn't be open to it.
-
Single bar face masks were around, too. (Rudy in college, Mr. New Blood himself) I thought my post mentioned either find someone more 'qualified' or go with a known commodity. Qualified being subjective, but I am sure we'll figure it out on SiouxSports!! As some have speculated, Fruend has a shot and if passed up he probably goes elsewhere to start calling plays. If this happens I think he crushes it and we look like a bunch of dumbasses.
-
Guys like you will not bother applying, so your hypothetical doesn't matter.
-
If a prospective OC has this train of thought, he'd be too big of puss to even apply.
-
Pretty tough to pass on Fruend I am thinking, too. Or at the very least, we have to find someone 'more qualified' than the guy in our back pocket. There are many good reasons why high caliber former QB's make great coordinators.
-
Is Protheroe coming back for a 7th season? Then yes, hardest schedule in FCS and FBS.
-
Change punt formation. Quit mind boinking the players, block everyone then tackle the guy with the ball, simple. Our punter needs to speed up, too.
