.....anything to do with incoming OC??
-
Yay....we are all winners!! I am putting this in the lamo catagory.
-
Agree here, could be Fruend, could be 'new blood'.
-
I agree with this or I wouldn't be open to it.
-
Single bar face masks were around, too. (Rudy in college, Mr. New Blood himself) I thought my post mentioned either find someone more 'qualified' or go with a known commodity. Qualified being subjective, but I am sure we'll figure it out on SiouxSports!! As some have speculated, Fruend has a shot and if passed up he probably goes elsewhere to start calling plays. If this happens I think he crushes it and we look like a bunch of dumbasses.
-
Guys like you will not bother applying, so your hypothetical doesn't matter.
-
If a prospective OC has this train of thought, he'd be too big of puss to even apply.
-
Pretty tough to pass on Fruend I am thinking, too. Or at the very least, we have to find someone 'more qualified' than the guy in our back pocket. There are many good reasons why high caliber former QB's make great coordinators.

Is Protheroe coming back for a 7th season? Then yes, hardest schedule in FCS and FBS.
-
Change punt formation. Quit mind boinking the players, block everyone then tackle the guy with the ball, simple. Our punter needs to speed up, too.
-
I think the correct call was made today. Special teams is more than a punt formation, which needs to changed by the way. Kostich brings a lot to the table. I think the kicker and punter are better next year and that will help, too. If we ever used TEs maybe we could evaluate him better next year.

Ya, I noticed that. Shallow pocket, no escape, it looks like we have no idea what we are doing with a passing game. 10 points on Portland St, Eastern puts up 74......they might be onto something.
-
Well, that strategy sucks, then. Every other team gives their QB a lot of space to make plays while we trust in a cozy little pocket that in a split second goes to hell.
-
Speaking of a good passing pocket.....why is our QB so shallow and the pocket so small? One missed blocked and Kett only has time for a duck and cover.
-
Hell ya!!
-
Proof?? Anyone??
-
We could do that, too. (In 3-5 games)
-
14 points in first 6 minutes and 9 seconds, on the road. Just put that into perspective. More or less than 48?
-
E. Washington will have more or less than 10 points on offense...... How about 38, more or less?

I think Chaves would. It is consistent with his vision, and it's hard to approach donors when you don't put some skin in the game. We had the 2015 bid nailed for a home game and that was with Faison and donors at that time. Does anyone think Chaves will let Faison's bid be bigger than his bid. (yes, a 'bid' measuring contest) I wondered at the time if the committee opened our bid after the bracket was selected, just being curious, and said......hmmmm.......kinda f'd that one up. Maybe that helps this time around, knowing we had a healthy bid in the past. If we don't win, I'll never get this 2 minutes back.........

My understanding - 1st round for unseeded teams Estimated attendance gives a school a baseline to run a sound budget, but a school can bid however much they want and lose $ on the game.(often private donations will come in on top of what the school is willing to pay) So the real answer is just plain "Revenue". That's what the bid is for, how much will your school pay for a home game. A,C,D and E are meaningless, or the committee will say were equal upon consideration. After 1st round, just meet minimum bid and have adequate facilities.

I watched the SU/Jacks game in person. I don't think we hang with either of these teams mainly because their QBs are too good for us to stop. (not to mention better schemes, identities, and SU has some better players on D) If UND pulls a rabbit out of their a_s and makes it into the play-offs and to Fargo in round 2, I am not going to spend $500 on 2 tickets like I did last time we played in the dome.

For sure. App St., Ga Southern, Liberty, Coastal Car. (a few others) and prior to that by a lot of years Marshall and Boise St. have weakened the FCS when they moved to FBS. Are the DII teams replacing and strengthening compared to what's left or leaving?? Hard to say and only because of SU's run. .......and that's what is so frustrating!! I am more critical with the exodus of top teams. (SU plans on waiting it out to see if the P5 split I believe)
