    2019 Season

He looked legit to me on film. I think that was his Jr year in High School. Injured as a Sr, might not even be healthy enough to play. I don't know.
  2. The 3-4 works with a few 300+ lbers in the middle and Dudes at both D ends. Also, we used to have size at outside backer. Currently, we have a small nose guard and the backup is even smaller, a 220 D End and Bennett with a few backups around 240 lbs. On top of that, 2 small outside backers. I don't see how we let things get to this........ Roster Management........needs work.

    2019 Season

No one feels worse than Ketteringham after a game like this. Has anyone here played in a game with conditions like Saturday?(especially QB) It's pretty miserable. On top of a wet field and ball, 25 mph winds, we put our QB coming off a buckling/injured knee into action. I could tell Kett wasn't as mobile and was scared to move too much. A recipe for disaster. On top of that, Wanzak lost his confidence throughout the game with each accumulating drop, and Toivenen and Maag had drops, too. All that said, as I pointed out in the photo of Maag wide open on a Kett pick.....Kett played like crap. I would also try Schuster this week and if he plays well and we win, consider him the starter. If it doesn't go well.....kind of have to play it week to week based on Kett's health but could still keep Schuster's redshirt. Another option, give Kett a few series and if he comes out firing, let it ride. (kind of a one last chance) I hope his knee is good enough to not hinder his confidence and/or performance if Kett is the starter. Other main items not helping - D Line. Many have pointed out the obvious over and over again, but we are too small, got handled vrs Eastern and NDSU. I would have been OK with a Junk Yard JUCO that we could barely keep eligible. Also, could have moved an O-line over. But we did nothing. Running Backs - Probably the least amount of pure RB talent that I ever recall going back 25 years. I've never seen a softer 245 lbs in my life. Mckinney is not a true RB, and Gee isn't at a level for us to be a top 25 team to put it as nice as I can. I don't know if paper mache Gordon is ever going to play and where's Teddy. Teddy is probably the least talented but he puts his nose down and gets yards. No freshman sightings either. Pretty sad group.
  4. Maag wide open on pick. Brutal by Kett.
  5. Pull Wanzek-
  6. K-Mo feeling good today......
  7. I feel bad for myself next week watching Davis kick the crap out of us.
  8. We are more of a 2nd down team.
  9. Long season ahead, can't stop the run.
  10. I remember a lot of concern here about the lack of size on D-Line.......but what the hell do we know??
  11. When your d-line averages 240, teams are going to run on you.
  12. We look like a community college.
  13. We had 2 weeks to put this dogshit on the field??
  14. I agree on Isaiah. I wasn't sure last year but I think he has gotten a step faster, and with another spring track season he could improve further with speed. As mentioned, he's a natural at RB, super strong, shifty, really hard to tackle. He could take college carrys right now at UND and you wouldn't notice a drop off. Part of that is our backfield has been disappointing, but it speaks to Isaiah being one of those college ready kids. UND should offer. Max would like a shot at QB in college, but he won't get to show much in High School.(DL too stubborn running the ball vrs. overmatched opponents) (will cost them in playoffs) So Max's recruiting will be tricky unless colleges can bring him in after season to throw the ball for more of a college QB look. (All the coaches know at UND, NDSU, SDSU and on down- Max broke his arm last spring in a hoops alley-opp gone wrong, so no summer camps, which was devastating) His dad not only played high level baseball, but as a pitcher throwing in the mid 90s MPH in the minors. I think, QB, TE, and OLB. I don't know about safety and part of that will be because he will likely be too big for safety. So Max's recruiting is tricky, but huge upside to a maturing kid, that IRA has a history of identifying.
  15. I might tape Sam H. game next Saturday but done wasting my time on this.
  16. Another embarrassing performance. I need a break.
  17. I agree with this. We don't have to hit a magical number of yards on the ground. We have to move the ball and convert 3rd downs.

  19. Because teams normally surround their starting QB with reserves. I told you Bison73 is a liar. LMAO while SMH while whistling!!
  20. These ears need some silence!! - Rocky Hagar
  21. Probably keep the pedal down right, showing a lot of class, maybe snap a leg or two along the way.
  22. ......unless they don't have the class this year to take the foot off the pedal. "Classy move by Chris to take the foot off the gas as the point was proven."
  23. I am calling Fake News. I remember the last 4-5 minutes. That's about 8% of the game. Like it or not NDSU had a hard time running the ball in 2015 and to their credit they adjusted and ate up a pretty poor UND secondary. Our corners are pretty salty this year. As said, our deficiencies were magnified by a good team and it was embarrassing in 2015. I really don't have a good feel for the game tomorrow, other than our offense will not look like 2015. The game probably goes as good or bad as T. Lance is. He seemed to be the best weapon on the field (against Butler) and there isn't a close 2nd.
  24. You guys are still attaching Rudy to the game tomorrow?? Honestly, what team goes under center for 15 seconds in the Fargo Dome and tries to make a bunch of adjustments at the line? (2015 Fighting Hawks is the only one that comes to mind) We have called out Rudy that game and the next 3 years non stop. The last showing in the Fargo Dome was a complete embarrassment, no augments here.
  25. Just wait for the infestation at the Alerus Center........
