    Spring Ball

The challenge is there is nothing to tackle on a guy like Weah. The Jacks had an RB back in the day, short but strongest guy on the team. We had 4-5 face mask penalties, just not much to tackle. Howe at 6' 4" would just jump on the guy, the RB came up to his waist. So, it's easy to say 19 should tackle better but mark my words, Weah will present all sorts of tackling problems in his career.
  2. Flag pole. Loyall will carry him around during games.

Top 7 reasons Kett became a deer in headlights: 1) the entire offense lost confidence 2) the opposing D calls out all your run plays 3) your only audible from a toss right is toss left 4) you fail to utilize your talent in space...and 2 of your players attend an NFL Pro Day, TODAY!! 5) the only offensive lineman smart enough to make the checks is a 5th year back-up taking grad classes 6) you were more likely to see a T-Rex on Columbia than an in game adjustment 7) when all season long 1990 is calling, wanting it's college offense back

A lazy effort on some weights........a lot of no gains with safeties and LBs. Mason Bennett back to 235, doubt it!!
  5. If it's caffeine I think they just come out and say caffeine. I don't think anyone cares about caffeine because it's socially acceptable. My gut tells me, it's not caffeine as you really have to work hard for 500mg in the system post game.
  6. Since 2010 SU has had 4 players drafted, none in the past 2 years. So the bar is pretty low for having a pro day apparently. We should be able to reach it.
  7. The only rating that matters is W's. (Clean W's, that is)

    2019 Season

It appears we have more special teams type talent and depth for 2019. Not only multiple kickers and punters, but the jimmies and the joes running down the field. That alone will make us better.

    2019 Season

I wouldn't mind the QB battle to be played out on the field. Let's face it, we have no proven starter right now for Danny's system. I thought we stuck with Kett too much later in the year 2018 when you could see the wheels falling off. The sacred 1 QB is the starter throughout the season logic is like our previous offense, stale.

    2019 Season

Did Grover take his redshirt last year, making him and Boltman Sophomores in 2019? Kett and Zim are both redshirted Srs.
  11. These quotes are pretty funny - Swinney knows nearly nothing, not in the loop!!! Also, Clemson is puzzled by this mysterious 'Contaminant' that happens to make players bigger, stronger, faster, leaner, with virtually no side effects. Honest question, why isn't every college athlete cycling this stuff in the off season when there is no threat of test?? (Probably are) “It’s a huge undertaking, and I really have not been in that loop,” Swinney said of the appeal process. “I’ve gone and seen Dan(Clemson AD) maybe like a minute here and a minute there over the last several weeks. I now that they’re all working through that.”
  12. Very interesting.......benefits of steroids without the negative side effects.
  13. Hedberg spit his Ensure half way across the table when he heard UND offered Satter, then followed suit.
  14. Against Fergus Falls. 1 pass, unreal. Ya, PR was no match, we actually threw a few times (4-5 the entire game) cause you guys insisted on 9 in the box firing both B gaps every snap.(you must of watched the Fergus Falls game!!) Even the DL staff was bright enough to catch it. I think you are right, PR does little to help DL prep for a play-off run.
  15. Ya, Max and Gabe went to UND's Junior Day. I know Max has been talking to the Jacks and will attend a Jr. day, there, too. I know Isiah had a conflict with wrestling, did not attend the UND Jr day, but he wants to play college FB over wresting. I had all these guys up last year to the UND spring game, along with Reed. Reed is coming off a blown knee in the Wilmar game, he's a pretty good player, too. I think Reed and Gabe are tweeners on their size/ability mix at FCS. I think Max has the most potential but will be limited by the coaching staff (hand the ball off 49 of 50 plays in a game last year) and Isiah needs to shave some time off his 40, but he's a tough runner!!
  16. Right!! If we let NDJuiceU pick up scholarship type talent for nothing we are doing a disservice to the entire nation.
  17. Drug test the entire team at half and after the game, that would be acceptable. Otherwise, how can you trust a team that institutionally cheats and covers it up.

    2019 Season

I think our WRs were a 5 last year. I would trade with several teams we faced last year. I hope to be a 7 this year and the new O/C will help. I would put our safeties at a 4 last year, hoping for a big jump this year, but at least need to be above average, or 6. Offense overall last year with the Rudy Factor, Jon hurt, no TE game, and a diminishing QB, a 4.
  19. I just don't think he fits anywhere, not skilled enough to be skilled at that level and not big enough to play anywhere else. He was fun to watch. Didn't his dad play QB at Concordia, about the same size, carried off the field against the Dragons who lit him up on the sideline........I enjoyed that. Yes, I do hold a grudge from DL vrs. Staples/Motely days, things got a little out of hand. Most recent, there was a bit of a truce with Beachy/Gunderson, when the sons played.
  20. Beachy - A nice player for a gimmicky offense in high school full of dinks, dunks and scambles, but, C'Mon Man!!
  21. If he was 3 inches taller he'd probably be signing with Michigan St. today.
  22. (Probably the worst college nickname fiasco death in history.) WE'RE #1, WE'RE #1, WE'RE #1!!!! We totally did dominate if this was a contest!!
  23. According to the article. A player would limit out at around 6- 8 cups of coffee. Looking on-line a player would exceed the limit with 3 5-hour energies or 5 red bulls. I don't think 1 5-hour energy is the culprit here. These players by normal standards are 'big' and with how fast their bodies are running during a full game, I would assume you'd really have to load up to fail a drug test based on caffeine levels. My heart races at 100 mg........500 mgs is a lot.
  24. Plenty of quotes from the Robbins(s), you must have missed it.
  25. .....or 8 years or so for any honest coverage.
