  1. Your constant monitoring of Sioux Sports is what's really amusing.
  2. I'm impressed; it only took 4 days for you guys to figure out the math. Well done.
  3. They'll jettison a few players who will probably turn into all stars somewhere else, blame injuries, and trade front office and management jobs between themselves. And then later wonder why they still suck. ~ The Twins way.
  4. For some reason the name Conor O'Flaherty doesn't exude competence in my opinion. Yeah that's right; I'm a namist. Getting a little nervous SME is going to result in a lot of SMH.
  5. I didn't have time to read this War and Peace entry, so hope I'm on the right track with my response- I was acknowledging it appears things are shaping up to a point where Sioux Volley was on the right track; so he didn't have every minute detail to a t- who cares.
  6. Covenant clap for Sioux Volley. should start charging a user fee for every bison fan post on this site to help pay for FBS. Jim?
  7. Congrats to Schobert I wish him the best. Being picked by Cleveland must feel almost like getting drafted by an NFL team.
  8. LOL. Is that why you came on SIOUXSPORTS a few weeks ago to tell us Carson Wentz getting drafted is the biggest sporting accomplishment ever in the state of North Dakota?
  9. If this isn't proof you bison turd burglars come to Sioux sports seeking approval and compliments, I don't know what is.
  10. Thanks UNDBIZ and jdub27..... But i'm sure $13million is right around the corner. *****************
  11. I agree expecting $13million in a few months is ridiculous. but then again I think the entire concept is ridiculous. From the article: ------------- According to a document provided at the meeting, UND baseball will need to hit its fundraising benchmark each season in order to maintain the program. For example, the team will need to raise $546,312 by Feb. 17, 2017 for the 2018 season. The document also states “establishing an endowment is the best solution for establishing the long term stability of the program.” ------------- I think it's fair to say you can read between the lines a couple different ways here. Either they get an endowment established in the near future, or they struggle to fully fund an endowment, and are scratching for funds every year for eternity. Does anyone know if there were significant donations made specific to baseball in past years? And if not, why does it seem likely to see a huge influx of baseball only donations now?
  12. This is ridiculous. It should be an endowment established by fall, or it's dropped. Seeing if they can scrounge up enough money year by year would be an ongoing soap opera that could result in donations that would otherwise go to the core sports being spent on baseball.
  13. How about instead of Standing Room Only, start selling Sitting Once Only, or, SOO seats. Stand up and cheer for a TD, that's great! But if you sit down again, well, that's another 5 bucks. Just brain storming; I think I'm on something here.
  14. baseball? Mayville State has a Berry good baseball team...
  15. Actually, what cannot be ignored is how butt hurt you are, having to share the championship spotlight with UND.
  16. Yes, he could have done that. And then what? What does the "move on" part consist of? Did Brekke know as much as Faison knew at that time about the future of baseball? Let's say he did, then he has the same two options as Faison had; tell the young man with a rich dad that baseball is inevitably going to be cut. I'm not sure if that is the best way to basically break the news to the general public. Or option two, he looks them straight in the face, takes their money that is designated for baseball, (not just an "athletic dept." donation as others have added to their posts to cloud the issue here) and dumps baseball a year later. It was a unique situation. If Faison has ever ignored general athletic dept donation emails, or sport-specific donations that were designated for sports that were not inevitably going to be cut, i'd be outraged like others are.
  17. No, I'm not Faison. Apparently very few here are willing to acknowledge what an extremely awkward situation this created for BF. i guess he would've been hailed a hero on siouxsports for taking their money and then dumping the baseball program a year later. When the actual person with the money never contacted him, and it appears there were no follow up emails or calls, as I stated earlier I can't come down too hard on BF
  18. The letter basically says my dad has lotsa money. Maybe if dad had written the letter it would have been taken more seriously. As others stated, BF most likely knew baseball would be cut. Combine those two factors and I can't come down too hard on BF.
  19. I miss the days when Sewing & Baking counted as women's activities.
  20. You get paid in fig newtons?
  21. I think that's what Quinnipiac called the Anas line.
  22. Everyone leaves the Summit. Not sure why you assume it is stable all of a sudden after 30 years of constant movement.
  23. I see your point. But the youngsters of today have seen those banners from day 1 and most likely think those 7 were won with the brien logo unless someone has explained it to them. maybe it will depend on what SME comes up with. If the new logo and Brien logo don't completely clash, I'd like to see them start row 2 with the new one and leave the 7 as is.
  24. I'd prefer leaving the 7 banners as is, then add banners 8-14 with whatever the new logo is so we have balance. After that, i'm open to suggestions. seriously though i'm not a fan of taking things down in that building that have the logo. i'd rather future generations assume all those 7 were won with the best logo ever created, rather than pointing out that none of them were won with that logo.
  25. I see there was a stabbing which resulted in two people including a meth dealer being arrested near ndsu campus last night, and a grass fire there this morning. Or as some call it, a typical weekend in Fargo. I question if a Prius on its side really counts as a car tipping. Are they sure it wasn't just the wind?
