  1. That could make things interesting...
  2. -The bird is one color with zero detail except for a couple of black eyes. -How do the feathers infer motion? All we got is the bird head. It's two dimensional. Looks like a bird mugshot. -having the ND in green and doubling as the background is problematic. -it is the worst attempt I have seen at a new logo. I would buy and wear any of the other logos that were drawn up and posted on Sioux sports over the last several months.
  3. Memphis did a nice job. Detail, three colors on tiger, action pose lunging over the M. A white outline as opposed to no outline. Well done.
  4. How about a green bird? Or green and white, and/or with some other color accents? trying to make it an all in one, one colored bird + initials logo, on a green background, was asinine.
  5. So you found a rare bird with a genetic pigment condition. Congratulations.
  6. It's a big, plain, all white bird with barely discernible, subtle features. Thus, the dove label.
  7. I'm not so sure given the "hawk" we just inherited; SME and Ed could've goofed up roughriders as well and given us a monkey riding a bucking zebra. Although that would at least be original.
  8. It's a bird, it's plain, it's............. Siouxperbland!!!!
  9. Speaking just for myself, I don't like it because it sucks. I was looking forward to the reveal and having an identifying symbol for our new name. This logo is worse than any I have seen on siouxsports and elsewhere, and beyond all imagination It's a peaceful dove. Really? Who has an all white logo besides the klan?
  10. seems odd to me some of the same people who were up in arms about Hawks being a poor choice because it is an oft used, boring name, are now trying to convince themselves and others that a bland, boring logo is ok because there are evidently worse ones out there. a newly released logo shouldn't need tweaks and changes right out of the gate in an attempt to make it tolerable. They didn't hold a news conference to release a rough draft; they released THE logo.
  11. Ok, I'll look on the bright side; at least it's not a cowboy from Arizona.
  12. Time for them to call in the ndsu football team for some help.
  13. No no no, it's a Peacemaking Dove. They were thinking of including the olive branch, but the leaves look a little too much like a headdress. Thanks Ed!
  14. Lol hardly. I'll own the name as it was the best of the final two. my support will not change; I just won't be buying any gear with the dove on it.
  15. I'm sure your imagination had a good idea for a fighting Hawks logo as well. I'm sure we all had ideas. I'd also bet that none of us were envisioning a fighting Hawks logo to be the white dove from the cover of a Portals of Prayer daily devotional.
  16. If you think a Roughriders logo would've ended up as anything other than a generic, soft, happy go lucky goofy looking cowboy....well, never mind, I'll let you dream.
  17. Translation: if your preferred nickname would have been chosen, we would now be looking at an amazing, spectacular, in your face take no prisoners intimidating Roughriders logo. Funny how that works.
  18. With the new logo we have thanks to Ed's guidance, apparently the branding skill you speak of skips a generation.
  19. sorry, trying to be brief using phone. should've said I'm anti-anti-ness.
  20. Nobody is happy, and nobody is personally offended. These are the times we live in. #missionaccomplished #embracemediocrity
  21. I wonder how many more people would've been in favor of choosing no nickname at the time, knowing this would ultimately be the alternative? i can't see this new logo bringing anything to the table in terms of branding and merchandise sales, as we were told were important reasons why we absolutely needed a new name. I'd sure love to have the interlocking ND and nothing else right about now.
