Has anyone floated this idea by Kennedy?

Seems to be a lot of concern about having to keep women's hockey solely because of men's hockey. How do the top notch football universities ever get in compliance with title IX? My guess is they make sure they offer enough scholarships to offset in women's sports, and make sure their women's athletic facilities are nice. End of story. Alabama for instance has a women's rowing team with 58 members on the roster. I don't know if they're rowing for Carnival Cruise lines, but if not, 58 seems a bit excessive. I'm thinking it's their way of offsetting football, giving equal scholarships to women. It seems to work just fine for them.

The perception of not valuing women's hockey in grand forks can be seen every other weekend with the 11500 empty seats at the Ralph; the community doesn't value it, women clearly don't value it so how can it be a title IX sacred cow? If cut, there should be no complaining from a community that refuses to support a sport this expensive for UND.

I hope you're right. I however don't get the same vibe as you do from Kennedy that he is some sort of methodical mastermind and has this all figured out.

So which do you use if you're a lactating gender neutral with a disability?

Idk, I've enjoyed the montana and montana state games the most which seemed to show some promise. Hopefully the summit/mvfc provides the stability its proponents are touting. otherwise, the rivalry argument may go out the window down the road there, too.

so the reward has been better students, which seems very subjective, and the community has had the privilege of spending more money. and more people in the country have heard of you. some non diehard sports fans may argue this really isn't worth it.
