About the 990 status: What it obligates the REA to do is everything for a “public benefit.” I would have to look at their filed AOI (Articles of Incorporation) to see the wording. The purpose is/should be written very flexible. A private group/individual can not have tangible benefits. We added “while generally promoting the arts” to one non profit I helped start. So with the REA, benefit UND athletics could be interpreted as anything to put more athletes on the field/ice/court or spectators in the seats. And the IRS does watch plus the state. Even in small communities people watch and report. And I am sure Ralph had 100 Philadelphia lawyers set this up (or whomever did). My comments are really irrelevant.

Not sure if this belongs here…. Fargo paper “NDSU President warns deep budget cuts 2023 to 2025 due to decreased enrollment.” They are talking about a loss of $113M due to decreased tuition. Then another editorial states “We are a strong academic institution. We should stop treating it like a host only for a football team.” Interesting reading……I hope we do not face cuts like that. How is our enrollment????

That is what is important in society today. I am in the middle of a several hour training on sensitivity, diversity, inclusion, etc. etc. Part of this is some type of relaxation where you close your eyes, slow your breathing…. I was instructed to “trust the chair you are sitting on.” This is what we teach people now??? No wonder there is a targeting call. As long as you feel comfortable targeting someone, everything is fine.

So when do we hear about a final ruling on this call? The behavior should have bern stopped by someone on the sidelines….even team mates. Very poor personal and team integrity. Apologizing for that behavior was ugly on top of ape. Did the coach over ride him or make any public statement? Says a lot about that whole team, IMHO.

Great points…the officials let some things slide early and paid for it. There was a late hit right in front of me not called and? what is that horse collar call? The SDSU player had his arm around our players neck and brought him down….our players was racing the stands so the ref saw (?) the back of the SDSU player. I am sure there were more. They were big, yup. I absolutely loved the first half but we hung in there.

Joe came to the ticket office to personally make sure I got my ticket!!! He apologized and said, “Would some time on the field make up for your headaches?” I said YES. As we walked I asked how many recruits….82! He said hi to many people and shook hands with high school coaches (?) with a big UND smile and welcome. Mr. Personality!!!! Row J right at the 50 yard line!!!

Well I can help with #3 and pray about #1 & 2! I totally recant my statements about customer service. Last night at 7:30 pm I got a call from ?Joe at the football office. He had very much referred my request to someone who did not follow through. He will make sure I have a ticket tomorrow. Joe is fielding requests for student athletes to see the game. He has been swamped (“I was afraid your call was another request for 10 tickets for possible recruits”). I hope the recruits are seeing GREEN and no there color.

Well, initially I thought I had my tickets emailed and that did not happen….FOUR calls to the UND ticket office for help with this on-line ticket. They said they could send me an email. Well, 4 calls and apologizing “Can I look into this and call you back?” (2:15 today was the last call) you know, in todays society….customer service is basically defined by Siri. Siri seems to answer right away. I hope I don’t have security called tomorrow.

Got my ticket!!! Price of gas is irrelevant for some events. Go UND Also, I would like to publicly thank UND for sending me an email with a ticket I can actually PRINT instead of trying for 4 days to unsuccessfully get a cell phone app.

Well…all I know is that ours are 200% better.

Well I listened to the game. Here’s my take away: 1. Our radio announcers are MUCH better. 2. I have read some….disappointment or questioning about the Bison dynasty in the paper. The radio announcers reinforced this today. 3. I have attended or listened to 4 different college games since the start of the season. We are in last place with this NIL. I do not understand it but we need to beef it up. 4. SU has better community support and sponsorship on their radio ads….every type of play had a sponsor, it seemed. looking forward to the rest of our season.
