  1. We haven't had a receiver we should be throwing to deep over the middle for years.
  2. If everyone would just add the two morons who continually bitch about Schuster to their ignored users list, we wouldn't have to waste our time defending a guy that has put us in a position to win almost every game he's been in. Instead we could be discussing important things like whether or not Bubba should wear his pants pulled up past his belly button.
  3. It wasn't at all uncommon for Studs to go 10 of 17 for 170 yards. Some of that can be put on rudy, but not all of it. Schuster has stretches where he completes 8 or 9 out of 10 passes. You never saw that with studs.
  4. You told them you knew GFHockey and they found a room for you?
  5. After the last two years It's pretty easy to say that UND can play with any team in the country, so I'm not too frustrated about the decision. But still think it would have been a much better decision to wait and see how the fall goes. The only thing that would change my mind is if the new contract allows bubba do something to retain his assistant coaches. I'm much more frustrated with chaves extension.
  6. Looked like some serious holding going on there.
  7. More than a few guys weren't wearing sleeveless shirts, they likely won't be strong enough to play at the FCS level next fall. Some of the guys who play offensive positions weren't clean shaven and will need to get moved to the defensive side of the ball if we expect them to amount to anything. There was also an interesting choice in footwear by some of players... I'll provide a break down of what that means in a future post.
  8. Good Lord.
  9. From my limited contacts with insiders in college football programs, it appears there are a lot of programs that encourage players to do whatever it takes to make strength and weight gains, whether they do it legally or otherwise. NCAA testing is notoriously poor at identifying cheaters, to the point where you have to be stupid to get caught. Those are nice comments about Kramer, but do we really believe there isn't something else NDSU is doing "better" than most other schools? History almost always shows long runs of dominating performance to be tainted.
  10. Romfro is the twin brother of the scout team QB that everyone thought did a great job!
  11. NDSU was a combined 10-14 in it's first 3 years in the MVFC. we shared a conference championship in our first year in the valley. This year we proved the gap between UND and any other team in the valley is razor thin. If people want to be swayed otherwise by SU fans, including SU fans pretending to be UND fans, then so be it. For me, it's pretty easy to find a lot to be optimistic about with this football team.
  12. I hope posts like this don't scare GFHockey away.
  13. I think it's more accurate to say Choate elevated the program and left Vigen in a very good spot. We won't know how good Vigen is for a couple years.
  14. I think we have a winner for "Most Useless Thread of the Year". Depending on how quickly the tread dies, I see a lot of potential for a multiple year winner.
  15. Are you confusing Seguin with Siegel, or are they both gone?
  16. If Feeney beats out Tommy, that means we'll have a rock solid 1-2 in that position. If he doesn't, I'm more than happy to see Tommy playing the next 2-3 years. Curious about what people think Feeney will do better than Tommy? Take less sacks? Higher completion percentage? Make longer throws to our receivers who can't separate? Make better reads? Be more mobile? I'm not sure I see Feeney being better in any of these areas, but I don't know he won't be better either.
  17. If we call a timeout and then throw the interception, we would all be talking about how we had the momentum, SD just pulled their sack monster off the field, and Bubba made the worst decision ever. Nothing like hindsight to make us all feel a little smarter.
  18. Supposedly he is faster than Tommy Schuster, but not quite as fast as Quincy Vaughn. That's just based on anecdotal evidence though.
  19. SIU is currently ranked 15th in the FCS Coaches poll. If they loose to YSU this weekend, they will have lost 3 of the last 4 and have a bad loss. Would they still make the playoffs?
  20. I think UNI getS sent in that situation. SDSU would have losses to both UND and UNI and it would seem pretty tough to put them in the playoffs over both UND and Uni in that situation. I think if people are convinced the Missouri valley is getting five teams in the playoffs, UND has a legit shot at the playoffs if UNI losses and we beat SDSU. Still looking like a possibility to me that the Missouri valley only gets foUr teams in in the above scenario. I'M NOT SURE IF THERE ARE ANY SCENARIOS WHERE THE BIG SKY ONLY GETS THREE TEAMS IN THE PLAYOFFS, BUT THAT WOULD SURE HELP
  21. Tommy's game yesterday was great. He made some pretty good throws on plays where he had to find a second or third read. He also made a great touchdown pass where he took a big shot. And isn't it nice to have a quarterback that can complete the swing pass? Also nice to have Boltman back!
  22. I think we need both SDSU and UNI to lose next week, and even that may not be enough. It looks like there is a good chance the Big Sky gets four teams in, which hurts the chance of getting 5 teams from the Valley in. But you just never know. At this point we still have a meaningful game to play next week and I'm happy about that!
  23. Going 4-4 in the valley doesn't guarantee a playoff spot.
  24. Doubt it. We'd still be behind 5 or 6 other MVFC teams
  25. I'd take a healthy jack wright over a healthy maag, but having them both back would be great.
