Anyone know what time they will start selling tickets on Saturday?

That's what everyone said last week.

PJ Fleck and Craig Bohl don't seem destined for success. The coach at UC Davis didn't cut it in FBS, but is successful at FCS. Higher level of play means what it takes to be successful requires greater skill as a coach. I would like to see a serious effort at getting Jake Landry to look at the OC position. He has a pretty good resume. And of course get someone else to coach ST

It isn't mathmatically possible for us to get into the top 4 of the BSC. i can't imagine a scenario that gets us into the playoffs.

How about Jake Landry, who is now at NIU? Seems like a good choice for OC.

The part that worries me is that UND didnt have a good game when they needed it, at home, and a big part of that was the defense.

It's not a given that an 8-3 UND gets in over a 7-4 ISU. both would have the same conference record. ISU would have two FBS losses, beats UND on the road, takes UCD to OT, and the loss to Cal is looking good.

Weber, UCD, EWU, and ISU could all be clearly in front of us at the end of the year and I think 5 teams from the Big sky would be a tough sell. We will need to win convincingly these next three weeks.

If we could have been one of the 120 teams that could figure out how to stop the single run play Weber was effective at, we almost certainly win the game. Our guys in the second level didn't play well, and schmitty could have just as well stayed home today. This team has the physical talent, but we have a tendency to get out coached.

EWU, UCD, Weber are all likely playoff teams. The powers that be are going to have to be stategic and only rank ISU or UND highly, not both unless they absolutely have to. 5 teams in the playoffs from the big sky is a hard sell based on performance the past few years.

Dang. Washington and ISU both lose in OT to ranked teams after missing easy field goals to win it.

How many points are we going to leave off the board? We are at 10 - 14 range now.

Fairly impressed with the o line today. I think the two biggest issues with the team are the lack of speed at wide receiver and missed field goals. We have the personnel to fix the speed.issue and maybe SHSU will be in for a surprise. Didn't we have two kickers battling it out in fall camp? Was the competition close? Also is it possible to block a particular poster's posts? Not from the site but for me, so I don't have to read them?

The problem with forcing them to pass is that then they will pass. On the bright side, after week 1 I feel better about our o-line and Rudy than I ever would have expected.

Agree. I think the offense was putting up over 40 points a game over the last several games of the season.

I liked zimm. Thought he easily ha'd 5 of the seasons top 10 passes in the limited time he played. More concerned about Rudy's ability to pick the best of the three QBs...

Palendech (? spelling) was another good get. Would have been a good fit for our offense, but left after spring ball with the new coaching staff. He did pretty well at Nevada after that.

So let's say they make it a priority and get one next year. When we start MVFC play in 2020 boltman will be a junior and we will have a redshirt freshman at backup. I suppose we could pick up a JUCO QB, but that can hit or miss. Anyone remember Joey Bradley? I think we can say there is a trend now with UND not being able to recruit the QB position well, and we can't expect to get quality JUCOs like Zimmerman very often. I don't like where that leaves us, and hope Bubba and Rudy can see the writing on the wall.

Although we have a couple of solid QB transfers and what should be a great battle for the starting spot this fall, signing 1 legit scholarship QB out of high school in the past 4 years doesn't reflect well on our head coach and maybe even more so, on our QB coach/offensive coordinator. I think Bubba is going to have a pretty tough decision in front of himself in the near future.

I don't have a problem with this. No end range loading. Not maxing out. Good form.

I think we can do ok with Canady and Stewart at safety , but unless Stewart learns to play a little less violently, I expect him to miss half the season with injuries. The d line is a bigger concern for me. They weren't very good last year.
