    I think last night was an attempt to win without showing much and it almost worked. I'm quite sure they plan to put Santiago in the slot at times throughout the season. Why didn't they do it last night? I believe it's an attempt to not show everything they got. Not sure it would have made much difference as our QB couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat last night. He absolutely needs to be better at those easy throws. OL needs work but Keaton has to be better than that. The guy they probably missed the most last night was Adler on the edge.

    Relax Hockey fans, they aren't going to cut women's hockey. But all this Olympic sport talk gets old. Trap shooting is an Olympic sport, I'm sure there is a school somewhere that has nationally ranked trap shooters, does anybody but their parents care? For perspective, I believe a few years ago the women's Olympic hockey team lost to Warroad high school boys team. UND's team is not all Olympians so when you are watching them it's essentially a Red River JV team. That doesn't mean you shouldn't support it or that it's not worth having, but calm down with the Olympic talk.

    This^^^^. The problem with dismissing SiouxVolley's theories is that they do contain some factual information. I do believe that there has been discussion about going FBS, as he predicts, with the Montana's, Idaho and the other 3 Dakota schools. I think where he is going wrong is assuming UND is interested without the 3 Dakota schools. The other part of this equation is centered on the P5 moving away to form their own level. UND and NDSU believe they need to be in the second tier of football, currently that's FCS. If the P5 pulled away, I believe they would want to be with the MAC's and Mountain West's of the world. I think the kind of move SiouxVolley is talking about would only occur in that situation (P5 moving away). I think if UND could have their way, they would want a conference consisting of the 4 Dakota schools, the Montana's and a couple others. Everyone I have talked to inside UND's athletic department love's the Big Sky, especially playing the Montana's, but they also want (and Need, in my opinion) to be with the other 3 Dakota schools.

    I don't think they will cut women's hockey either. My point is that if women's hockey survives the cuts, its not because of their national profile in this obscure collegiate sport. Nobody knows who finished 10th nationally in women's trap shooting either. For the record if I were President it would be gone...

    Love it! Half the game, LOL! I'm with you on the interlocking ND. It's what I grew up with. That has always been UND to me. I even have one of these vintage bad boys hanging in the man cave.

    The helmets seem to be getting a much more positive reaction. Is this thread just full of the "lets move on" crowd or is the logo starting to gain some support? Where are the "logo sucks" guys? Oxbow??

    I don't think you realize that there are a ton of UND fans that have jumped on the NDSU bandwagon after all their success. After UND finally finds its success you will see many fans come back to their roots. UND's success will gain new fans that will not be loyal to only NDSU. There is no such thing, if you are a UND fan, you do not follow NDSU. Anybody who has left UND to follow SU is not a UND fan anyway.

    What? I love this kind of deep analysis. What if the new coach changed styles just like Bubba did when he took over for muss? Faison can be criticized for a lot of things, but not having the foresight to understand the offensive strategy of a coach (who was not the current coach) of a team your going to play in 3 to 5 years is not one of them.

    I talked to a guy yesterday who is a big donator to The champions club (Director level). He told me he thinks the logo looks great. So you've found zero, I've found 1. The the most important thing to remember is, it doesn't mean jack s#$%. The name and logo are staying and the teams that will be successful are the ones who understand that and put in the work to be successful. UND will be fine, there is leadership here in at least two of the sports that matter.

    So let me get straight, first UND was stupid to replace the Indian head with the interlocking ND. Now they're stupid because they replaced the interlocking ND. Ok

    Exactly, I'm not saying this is a great logo but it probably isn't as bad as it seems right now. Time will connect it to the university and it will be associated with the good things that come out of UND and it will be looked upon in a better light.

    I googled the team logos of the power 5 conferences and found that even though our new logo is not better than many of them, it's also not worse than many of them. Fact is its what college logos look like. The problem is it's trying to replace a work of art. Imagine if UND spent $50,000 and rolled out Alabama's script A, Or Michigan's big M? Would that be any better? They seem to sell a lot of shirts..

    It appears to me that they were trying replicate and replace the interlocking ND logo, not to replicate the Sioux warrior logo. It has a very corporate feel to it, the previous one had an artistic feel to it. It was not what I was expecting at all so it's going to take me some time.
