Be surprised if 500 show up for the Seniors last game. Too early and most want to go to the football game. Students have not really shown up since the NDSU game.
-
Still up on this team, but the Big Sky has grown stronger this year. Pryor hasn't helped rally fans and no one has seemingly taken leadership on offense. Hart is a defensive gem, but this team needs more offensive identity. Good recruiting class coming in again though.

Is that copyrighted? Would like a couple thousand t-shirts printed up.

Sac St continues its upsurge with a win at Ariz St. Wisconsin will be PO'ed when we play, as they lost to W Illinois tonight.
-
So UND passed on Madison McKeever of Win E Mac? She signed with USD. With the big signing class last year and Grace Coughlin transferring in from UM, there couldn't be too many scholarships available.

Iowa has pulled away some, 49-41

The volleyball team drew poorly for Thursdays game, around 700 people. That will put average attendance down below one thousand for the year, which should be a major disappointment as we hosted NDSU and SDSU this year with big crowds. The 11 am starts didn't help, especially this Saturday for EWU. The average is right now at 1002, and 1000 will be breached tomorrow unless at least 960 people show up. The total attendance is a major disappointment for this program and the athletic department this year. This should have been a program on the rise, not in decline.

Why wasn't that a suggestion for the committee?

It's very encouraging that you are against RR because you are the most Negative Nelly on this board going back ten plus years. RR is the way to go based on your sentiment.

An eagle has been the symbol of the German region since Holy Roman Empire days.

When horses did. Breaking in horses even happened in the Red River Valley, aso a quick check of history will show that.

That is an awesome advertisement for Roughriders! Get this on Facebook and ask if we should be hawks.

Set up email accounts fifteen years ago, trained them, and they haven't opened them since. With the advent of Ipads, they look at Facebook now and check some social websites to keep up, especially with family, but they don't add any content anywhere. Sending an email to them is like sending a pony express message: they'll get it if one of their progeny opens email for them. But mostly my dad uses his Ipad for solitaire, as he doesn't have to shuffle cards. Have a number of siblings and in-laws. They were going to abstain from because most of them wanted North Dakota. Convinced them RR is for best now, and they voted last time (or the said they did). Have some nieces and nephews that currently go to UND, and they said their friends are overwhelmingly voting for hawks.

Have to hand it to Hagerott, our new Chancellor. Either DiLorenzo or Ed. Brilliant political manuever. The professors won't go to bat against Schafer, as they are left with one of their one who they despise.
-
My parents, in their 80s and Champion Club members, don't have a clue about the internet. They have an IPAD and WiFi set up by their grandkids, but don't have a clue how to do anything on the internet, like pay bills. They still run to Hugo's to pay bills as they save on postage. They did not vote as UND effectively disenfranchised them.

You are conflating arguments again. Engelstad had power and strings with his donation. Are you disagreeing with that? T Boone Pickens has Oklahoma St's President at his beck and call. So does Phil Knight at Oregon.
-
But that how it worked for Engelstad, and no one is bitching about the Brien logo. That's how it works at most of the power programs. Nike's gifts to Oregon have strings attached such as use of an array of bizarre Nike uniforms.
-
And UND and the SBOHE isn't a democracy.
-
I would be just fine with a stadium donor picking a new nickname and logo!
-
Some people are so busy with their live, they don have time to waste on message boards. If they live out of state, they almost have to read the Herald to keep up on nickname news. For many people, that's impossible. You seem to live in a dream world where everyone is like you.
-
If there are so many hard core died in green students, why don't they stay beyond halftime of a football game? Case closed. The hard core ones do.

simple statistics
-
Like <1% of all students.
-
Students almost live on the internet today. A lot of them, and faculty, have to use the UND system daily. It's easy for students and faculty to vote, and probably 60-80% voted. Compare that with alums who work. Many of them can't access personal items on the internet or are just so busy or to removed from the whole issue. Probably 25% voted this time, and less before.

Bison are considered sacred too, but that hasnt gained traction. Maybe we can add a nickname can be Fighting Aborted Fetuses, as a way to honor them Human life is sacred to Christians, but everything they believe in is under attack from the education cabal.
