Count me in the bunch that will miss it. Even if the VB team sweeps, I doubt I could make there in time. I'll be there to make noise when it counts, though.

I will be at both volleyball and football tomorrow, just like I was two weeks ago. It sounds like the senior recognition for volleyball is after the game. When is football's?

Nice game by the ladies tonight. Blocking was improved. I thought Courtney Place really put her team on her shoulders at the end of set 3. She and Faith Dooley had some nice spikes tonight.

Amelia Johnson was honorable mention, which is how I found the list in the first place.

While looking at a 2014 Minnesota HS first-team volleyball list of players, I came across Jaila's name and decided to search for her. She's playing with Virginia Tech, and hitting .256 as a freshman. Too bad we didn't get her here! Courtney Place is also on that list. Glad we got her here!

If anything, I would think that attendance would be higher. The Saturday basketball games in winter that coincide with a men's hockey series usually have good attendance. The best marketing for the football game would be done at the Friday night hockey game.

We are in the middle of NLI signing week. Anybody know anything about VB recruits committing to UND?

You can tell the enthusiasm for volleyball has waned a bit since no one even bothered to write about last Saturday's finish (5 set loss to UNC). The girls did get a road win at MSU last night 3-1.

I think a win-win would be for Midco to keep the production, pay the school a nice sum, and be more lenient with releasing to Fox College Sports. Maybe Midco has made enough in-roads in Fargo that the Cable One competition is a moot point. UND could still pick up in-house broadcasts where Midco leaves off as far as Basketball and Volleyball go, but wouldn't have the total burden.

Listened to coach Pryor at the fan luncheon, and Julia K is out for the season, but according to her, she's going to "win rehab." Encouraged us to attend the game tomorrow to watch "something special."

I had the same thought. Someone who was willing to vote for Sundogs or North Stars will probably have no problem voting for Fighting Hawks.

Having Julia out is definitely hurting the team. They played with a little more edge on Set 4, but it wasn't enough. Sac St has a good record, but we should have beaten them at home. I thought for sure McKenzie Hart would have made it to ncaa's at least once in her career, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. :(

We looked out of sorts in Set 3. 25-20. Seems like we have no power anymore. Time for Harnett for a spark of power would be my solution.

Lead most of the way, but ended up falling 27-25 for a 1-1 tie at the break.

Julia K is the injured player. Can barely hobble. UND got off to a terrible start in set 1, down 12-4 to Sac St., but persevered and got a 25-23 win.
