I have the biggest smile after reading todays posts... We have been through some major ups and downs as football fans at UND... Even if just temporary, it's been great to see everything finally come together. After the Muss and Rudy years, with Freund actually living up to the hype and exceeding the unfairly high bar that most of us set for him, and with NDSU's concurrent drama (lol), seeing Weah coming back and succeeding, and with Tommy's success after the uncertainty with the events surrounding his recruitment, this is just a great moment in time.

If I knew how to do it I would make a video with guys like Dom Izzo talking about this with images of negative tweets displayed, and then it would transition to a highlight video of UND dominating and then clips of Dom back tracking.

One more thing for me to complain about and I'll stop, but it would be nice for there to be landing page on fightinghwaks.com for football gameday, or at least a more recent football article than March 1st. Pretty sure the landing page the whole week leading up the the home opener was for hockey puck drop that evening.

It was nice to see that someone hooked him up with hockey tickets as well that weekend.

From USD: USD left guard Mason Scheidegger did not compete in week one, but coach Bob Nielson said Tuesday that he has been cleared to play in this one. USD didn't run the ball well against ISU, but their starting left guard is back, and he's a big boy at 6'5 330 compared to the backup Trevor Shohoney 6'5 290 (who must have played last week vs ISU). Paired with a big starting center at 6'7 325 and a starting right guard at 6'5 330, it will be interesting to see if USD can get their running game going vs UND's smaller than avg D-line (which has been good against the run). I think I read in the game notes that USD rushed for over 300 in 3 games last year. I'm worried about the size difference along the line when it comes to the USD running game, and ya gotta think they get it going.

This guy has an awesome twitter account to follow and I'm extremely jealous of him.... goes to multiple games a week. I think he's been to every FBS stadium, and is doing the FCS now due to the opportunity with the spring season. He's heading to UND on Thursday for his second game here this year. He really liked the setup, which says a lot since he's been to so many stadiums.

Wow I think the AGS poll has Nichols way higher than any other poll. I can see that, and that's good to see after the beating they put on us last year.

Agreed. I think this was Kennedy's worry - didn't want to get left behind and wanted to be ahead of the curve. UND needs on campus enrollment to grow though... the numbers there are not good.

I wouldn't be surprised if UND had more online students than our peers, which I believe they do, because remote learning was a priority for Kennedy if I remember correctly. With the new student union and business building, ya gotta think that will help to attract students to campus moving forward.
