  1. Even if games aren't on ESPN+, all Midco games will be on Midco Sports Plus, which is cheaper. And they support UND Athletics more so then ESPN ever has. https://midcosports.com/streaming/
  2. Really a bummer the ATF or whoever shut down the plan for the school to move there.

    ASU to NCHC

I was referring to the different forums, like how at this website basketball, volleyball, fb, hockey, etc have their own categories, but I get what you're saying. It's great to see ASU doing well - I think I heard someone within your AD say that you guys had 3 million in ticket sales. You guys are showing that college hockey is viable in the South and it's great to see! Arizona is building a pretty nice facility as well... as an ASU fan, do you think they potentially look at making a move after seeing ASU's success, and would you like to see them go D1? Pretty cool their club team lined up a game against you guys to start off this upcoming season.

    ASU to NCHC

I will never understand why big fanbases like yours put up with those paid message boards that only have like one or two topics of discussion.
  5. Rather than Freund? Would you really want a head coach with zero college football coaching experience and zero college recruiting experience?
  6. Argument could be made that NDSU should bump their equestrian team up to the NCAA level. Surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit yet, especially after failing to cut the club program. 3rd prong of title 9.
  7. Now you're just making stuff up. Was always a non factor for ndsu.
  8. Awesome. I heard Mike Snee of College Hockey Inc say on a podcast, maybe a year ago, that they would probably start with a club program, with the goal being to eventually elevate it to D1 if possible. I think as the only HBCU, they may eventually be able to attract some big donors and pull it off.
  9. This is a huge deal. https://undfoundation.org/701-award
  10. I bet you would like a roof like this as well.
  11. Reminds me of Jacksonville State's old plan.
  12. Good point. But if hypothetical money was instead invested in to coaching salaries, maybe we could have kept our rb coach. If we still had our rb coach, perhaps we would have landed the first target that went to Youngstown? Nobody knows.
  13. Now that Kennedy is no longer employed by any university, it would be interesting to listen to an interview with him about this. Would be interesting to hear more specifics about those negotiations...
  14. I understand that the donor can donate for whatever cause they want, but I think its questionable that the usage agreement at the REA went from this: to this:
  15. If UND doesn't have a software program that helps with the analytics and automatically processes this information for them, this would be one place to start. There are programs out there that can help to identify different groups of potential donors, or former donors, or sport specific donors, etc. Are donors who have committed to fundraising drives like the Lets Help Bubba drives on this website being encouraged to join the champions club if they aren't cc members, for example? Much of this could be processed by software, and select groups of people could be sent information that is more tailored specifically to them (former donors, donors that have decreased their donations but still donate, donors that increased donations over prior years, etc.)
  16. Presidents Circle represents total donations in excess of 36 MILLION. By my count, 3644 Members x 10K (minimum total donation total of 10K-99K Pres Circle). Total donations of that level are probably double that or more... "small" donors are just as important as large donors.
  17. One other thing to mention is that the NCAA changed a rule and schools are now allowed to provide about 6K in additional payments, above and beyond schollarship and cost of attendance costs.. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/33684066/only-21-130-ncaa-fbs-level-schools-say-plans-provide-allowed-academic-bonus-payments-athletes-year UND might be working on this with something called The 701 fund? This would essentially allow the school to pay key players directly if they get good grades, but I'm not sure if they are allowed to pick and choose if certain players get the money (based on athletic contribution). https://undalumni.org/giving-impact/colleges-programs/athletics.html That's new, right?
  18. Yeah I was just saying in general, because a lot of people just say NIL when they are referring to NIL Collectives, specifically. Interestingly, UND missed on transfer RB recruits who commited to Youngstown and Montana State, both of which have NIL Collectives. I'm not sure how much of a factor they played into the player's decisions though (don't know if they were offered $$).
  19. If you guys are going to talk about NIL programs, it's helpful to clarify whether you are speaking about NIL "Collectives" or legit NIL programs, where players are compensated for their actual name image and likeness (such as merch sales or participation in advertisements). Some NIL programs are essentially pay for play and others are more geared towards finding student athletes legit NIL deals with local companies. There's a lot of grey area, obviously, but I think it's more accurate to say collectives rather than just NIL, if that's what you mean, because schools can legitimately work with companies like Opendorse or Brandr group to start NIL programs, whereas they can't be involved with collectives.
  20. You're making stuff up and presenting it as fact.
  21. No. Murray got into the MVC despite FB. They were wanted by many of the MVC schools for a while.
