    I think I remember the actual screens were replaced since construction of the scoreboard. Other than updating the resolution of the video panels, I don't see a need to replace the whole frame. The new big ones are ugly and you can see the video boards great from anywhere in the ralph. The bigger video boards distract from the game and reduce the visibility of other areas of the arena.

    That would def be good for the football program. Need to bring our product to potential fans. Also UND/NDSU m/w basketball should alternate years playing conference games at a neutral site in north dakota. Each team would lose one home game every four years. Maybe play in Bismarck every year.

    Congrats to the twins, by the way. They were the best players on the ice for Team USA, by a long shot. They play the game the way it was meant to be played. Not sure that the are the most talented, but they have a level of grit and determination that is matched by few, and they are a blast to watch. Makes me miss Mario as well - might be my favorite all time player at UND. Sucks we had to drop women's hockey, but it was the best way to create a strong athletic department as a whole. The women's goalies are also really fun to watch. Hate to say it, but I was happy to see Poulin lose - she was a huge pest, and one of those players that are fun to hate, but if she was on our team, I would love her haha.

    NBC can suck a ****! What the **** is their problem. Their website is full of spoilers.. avoided social media all day so I could stream the USA/Canada curling match, and their streaming link said who won! Who the **** at NBC thinks this is a good idea. I really hope ESPN3 gets the next olympic deal. Everything would be so simple with espn3.

    Yeah pretty sure some of them filed a lawsuit, but it was thrown out due to a lack of standing.

    Technically, the majority of attendance is going to be there regardless. UND draws 7k - 8k with bottom of the barrel teams. Bandwagon fans can only reach about 5k before the stadium sells out. I agree with your sentiment, though. I would say the number 1 factor of increased attendance beyond 7k - 8k baseline is wins. Sorry for the nitpicking

    Jake Landry is the new interim OC at UW Whitewater. That will be some good experience.     Yeah, that's why Omaha had the MVC come tour campus. Wait! That doesn't make sense... Please tell us how UNO taking the time and resources to host a MVC tour really means that they would rather be in the Summit.

    WRONG!!!!! Your "Big Sky to FBS via the WAC" theory has a better chance of happening than UND leaving SCSU and UMD to join any conference other than the Big Ten. That's not saying much.

    Mankato scares me. I think if Mankato left the wcha, it would really hurt bemidji and the stability of that league, which would be bad for college hockey. Hope the nchc stays at 8 - if its not broken dont fix it. That said, Mankato would be a great fit. Not sure if BG is still looking into upgrading their rink, but jlg did a rendering for them. http://jlgarchitects.com/projects/bowling-green-ice-arena?category=hockey BG should probably go the Michigan Tech route and add suits and club seating on the end, given their poor attendance. Looks like the jlg plan would turn bg's seating into a full bowl. Can't see that happening.

    They did a good job on the locker room - If the football locker rooms are anywhere near that quality, I would be very happy. I think JLG get's credit for doing the actual arena, though. Icon did the Betty - no concourse. Current practice facility - underwhelming for 20 million. It's a 20 million dollar building with 4 windows and zero creativity.

    Anybody else think it's unacceptable that there aren't renderings yet for phase II? Kind of hard to sell something that people can't see. Would also like to see JLG work on this, rather than Icon.

    This is the answer needed to grow enrollment at UND! As much as I loved gamble, a new building is badly needed. Dumping money into that place is a waste. Not enough meeting areas or study space. Thank god for the SMIF room or I never would have studied on campus. That said, isn't the current plan to renovate gamble, rather than build a new school? I Know a new building was being floated while I was there about 5 years ago, but I kind of feel like that ship has sailed?
