  2. UND beat Presentation. There, not too much to talk about that one. Now UND moves back to reality as they head down I-29 to Omaha, to take on the Bluejays of Creighton out of the Big East. This is once again a talented Creighton squad lead by Greg McDermott. Picked to be a middle of the pack team in the rugged Big East It was expected to be a bit of a rebuilding year. Not so much so far. Notching big non-conference wins at Northwestern and beating UCLA at home suddenly makes Creighton a little more of a threat in the conference and potentially to get back to the NCAA tournament. Their up-tempo style is led by a solid guard duo of Kyrhi Thomas and Marcus Foster. Both guards are shooting at a high percentage from the field and from beyond the arc. It should be a great battle between them and Geno/Stewart. They also have Martin Krampelj, a big man from Slovenia who, after two years of minimum time, is making a major impact. He had a big night at Northwestern, scoring 17 points and pulling down 5 boards. Avants will have to play, no pun intented, big in this one. Creighton is averaging nearly 90 points per game so far, so expect a lot of points in this one Speaking of points, Geno is sitting at 948 career points. It is possible with a pretty decent game, he could have an outside shot of surpassing 1,000 career points against the rival on the 9th. This will be the 12th time these two teams have played one another, as the Bluejays hold a 9-2 advantage, although UND won the last meeting all the way back in 1975. This is the first D-1 meeting. Jones is 0-3 all time against McDermott in the games from his UNI/ISU days. The game will be on FS2 How UND can do the unthinkable: 1) Gotta get hot: You cannot shot 26% from 3 and expect to win, that needs to change going forward. This needs to be the starting point of that. People need to start heating up. 2) Turn them over: UND right now is a top 20 team in steals in the nation with around 9.5 steals per game. They are going to need that and a few more to have a shot. 3) If 2 happens, they have to cash in. Extra possessions need to be scored upon, period. 4) Rebound, rebound, rebound. A decent effort was shown against Utah Valley, now build on that. The call: UND will need every little thing to go right in this one to even have a chance. The longer they can hang around, the better their chances. Right now, I'll settle for a complete performance to build off of for the next two matchups. Time is running out, there is only 3.5 weeks until conference play starts. I expect a good performance and a high-scoring affair. But the Bluejays will be too much. Perhaps Tray can build off his bench performance and Stewart has a nice showing against his old team. Creighton 95-80
  3. Give the Seachickens credit, they played a heck of a game. Eagles have another tough one against the Rams, can’t dwell on this for too long. I’d chalk it up as growing pains... for now
  4. So here’s something I’ve been wondering for a while. have they pretty much done away with the white-out?
  5. Committee was screwed no matter what they chose, at least they were consistent from last year. OSU got punished for losing to Iowa by 30, only logical explanation. If Clemson gets past Bama, they repeat.
  6. Nielson heading to FBS? Offered Kent State Job
  7. They still have good pieces coming back and a good recruiting class coming in. If they can replace the middle and setter position with modest success, they could make it a 3-peat.
  8. This group of senior will leave this program with a lot of honors and accomplishments, with perhaps a few more coming their way. 30-8 season is nothing to sniff at. Hopefully they can look to take the next step as a program. Next year: Question 1,2,3 will be this Is Mattson ready to take over at setter?
  9. The Griz have a new coach Well, it is their old coach Who says you can't go home again?
  10. Well I can read into one thing. the starting 5, once clicking, will be very solid. its the bench that sends up the red flag. Someone needs to step into the 6th man role. Bad Scoring against PC doesn’t do much for me. Now do it against our next few opponents consistently then I’ll listen. this team cannot take a long term injury to one of its starters.
  11. UND up 17-9 in the first 8 minutes of the game
  12. In the last few weeks of Faison being the AD. There should be one final task to get done Extend Pryor https://media.giphy.com/media/9HQRIttS5C4Za/giphy.gif
  13. UND dropped a tough one in OT against a solid UVU team. They look to finish the home stand against Presentation Like with the Northland thread, I won't dive into too much here. Just need to do three things 1) Crush the opponent 2) Stay Healthy 3) Work out some kinks before starting the 2nd half of non-conference play UND 80-50
  14. Don’t worry people are screaming fake news on this and complaining so why did they cut women’s hockey. Oh did you hear about the next big thing could have came here if the program was still around? On a serious note, good. They need some good news on that department.
  15. This is an interesting group... Eastern instead of Weber?
  16. KFAN will be interesting tomorrow. I checked the score before leaving to go eat and it was 2-0 Wild. I just checked it again and its 7-2 Jets.
  17. Are you sure? There wasn't a change to put our bye at the last week of the season again was there?
  18. Out of all 350+ d1 teams. Although SOS is weighted in this as well as WIns and Losses. So playing at Duke and at Kentucky is a huge part of their RPI being so high. Plus a solid win against UC Davis helps too. Nevertheless, this will be a solid win if they can get it.
