Will this be the only one that comes up with Sather? If not... there is a guard from Park Center than could fix UND PG issue
-
Guessing this is the Stewart/Brown replacement in this class. He has nice size and is a multi sport athlete. Looks like a combo guard but seems more 2 than 1. Still need a point and a center.

Nightmares of the double reverse.......

If you are that playoff team, you take care of business against these teams (Drake, @ Poly, @ ISU*, SUU, UNC) and defend the home turf (UC Davis, MSU, SHSU) There is your 8 wins. Things can change in a hurry that can make difficult schedules perhaps a little easier. Now steal one of these three (@ NDSU, @ Weber, @ EWU), then you have some insurance in case you slip up somewhere or you end up with a real nice seed. You probably can get away with winning 2 out of the 3 showdown games at home and still make the playoffs, provided you take care of business against those other 5 teams. *For once, can you pound ISU

Meanwhile, Toronto (and most of Canada) is in full buzz with the potentially of winning a NBA championship... in Toronto... tonight. Lord knows what they might do in that city if they pull it off tonight. It also would be a funny irony that a Canadian team would win the NBA title before winning a Stanley Cup.

You are probably right, but never hurts to throw a feeler out and see what happens.

Went 5-4 in that 9 game stretch against the Brewers, Rays, and Indians. Not too shabby.

Carson Wentz taking Philly err Indy err DC by storm

That should put him in the top 5 of QB money correct? -
How about this guy for an assistant https://gogriffons.com/coaches.aspx?rc=1308&path=mbball

I'm glad he's back, and it was quite a quick decision at that. It gives this team something they haven't had since Huff... a person that can play the 3 spot with the size to do it.
-
The green lettering with the gray makes it too hard to read the names, even on TV. If they had stuck to white lettering, it would have been less of an issue. Women's bball has a real nice black uniform combination. This is pretty much moot now, but with Eikens coming back it makes the Jal loss very minimal. I could be way off on this but he just didn't seem to fit the style that Jones wanted to run last year (the pace seemed slower last year then compared to previous years). I think he would have a better fit with the Huff teams where he could use his athleticism and was more up and down. I do hope he does well wherever he ends up. It could have also been a "writing on the wall" situation since they both play the same position and would be competing for the same minutes. It might have meant a little more if Eikens didn't come back, but again.. its pretty much moot now.

Crisis averted

One request of coach Sather Retire those awful grey unis from last year.
-
I'm not surprised on Kaeding due to his background, I am surprised that is Dani and not Steve that got the 2nd spot.
-
Big change coming next year as the 3 point line is being moved back to the international basketball distance of 22 feet, 1 3/4 inches. It was at 20 feet, 9 inches.
-
At that point, you might as well add them all back. Once Pandora’s box is open you cannot shut it.

When I was at UND during the cuts that Schafer oversaw, my advisor had a great line that rang true. (I have mentioned this line a few times on this board). "Every department on campus thinks they are the most important thing on campus, so they are not going to want to cut anything" I think this is what certain supporters of the cut athletic programs do not understand.
-
Think its more of a "feel out what's out there, feel out the coaching staff" and see what will be the best fit situation?
-
I'd argue a bigger issue would be on campus: "So they would bend over backwards to bring back ATHLETIC programs, while my ACADEMIC department doesn't even get the same treatment"
-
When he wasn't hurt, I would have said Avants was the closest. Like I said in my long post: Those two need to take bigger steps and be solid starters (they don't have to be all-conference, but they need to be more that borderline starter/reserve which they were last year.) Need him to pull what the USD player did and come back
-
Lets get a tough non-conference schedule to toughen then up. They will take their lumps but by the 2nd half of conference play, they will be a tough game night in and night out.
-
The Jal and Desean departures (although there is a chance DAE perhaps returns) do leave a big hole to fill at the 3 spot. So Sather will have to fill a hole at small forward, point guard, and center with 4 scholarships to work with.
-
Not surprising. next person up now they need to fill 4 spots.

Wait, so she didn't use Urban Dictionary to sort through names?
