I stayed there for the Frozen Four last year and I loved the place. Most spacious basic room i've ever stayed in, plus with all the other hockey fans staying there it was a fun time drinking beer around the pool and talking all night.

Just don't see it happening. Being it's a winter sport why would their fans go and watch a losing hockey team (which is more than likely what would happen) when they have a national title contender in basketball every year during the same time frame as hockey. Teams like Iowa and Iowa State are much more likely candidates than Kansas in my opinion. Good article, though.

Very true. Their play in the 2nd half has really hurt them. Especially their undisciplined play against Denver and Northeastern.

PSU fans are mad because they think the Big Ten tournament should be held at every schools closest NHL arena in fairness. They don't believe it will be done in order to make the most money. These are also the same PSU fans that have been saying, "We'll easily be competing for NCAA Championships in 3-5 years because of our name and facilities." Which makes me burst out in laughter. I personally won't travel to Detroit when the tournament is there because being in college still there's no way in hell I could afford that. Plus I've been to Detroit before and I'd be fine never seeing that s**thole again. I can't imagine more than a few thousand Gopher fans would do the 12 hour drive. I do the 15 hour drive from Grand Forks to Traverse City, MI every summer and that's enough for me. I'm fairly certain that the B1G will be doing a rotation between St. Paul and Detroit, do any of you think it would be at all possible that the NCHC will try lock up the X for the years the B1G is in Detroit and then go to the Target Center the years the B1G is at the X? That way it leaves NCHC fans knowing they'll be in St. Paul every year for the conference tournament.

Are you high? both of Frattins hits were far more malicous than that, and both of his were good hits. Rau hits him in the chest and Zucker goes down. He doesn't jump or take strides and it sure as heck isn't from behind.

He glided, though. That's not a penalty. If he's taking strides into him it's charging, but when he just glides it should be nothing.

They gave Rau a boarding major. Watch the link I posted and tell me how that's boarding. Frattin's hit on Wehrs was closer to boarding than that was, and even that hit was borderline at best for boarding.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with Rau's other than it was very late. Give him a 2 minute interference and that's it. I've had a few Sioux fans that are friends of mine call me and say the same thing. Rau doesn't leave his feet and hits Zucker in the chest. Concussion wouldn't be good. Buccigross is probably more used to NHL rules too. I'm watching the BC and UVM game on NBC and Mike Milbury started flipping out at a 5 minute penalty they called against BC because their player looked at a UVM player and purposely cross checked him in the face. I was laughing hysterically listening to him justify it.
