  1. Big Ten football coaches met and said that they agreed there was technically no "gentlemans" agreement in their conference, but that coaches usually followed that anyways. Wisconsin's coach was just pissed he lost a recruit to Urban Meyer and that's why the whole thing got brought up.
  2. I haven't heard Lucia say anything about supporting it, but if he does I still don't agree with it. I like that hockey is a sport that has a gentlemans agreement among the schools.
  3. The only thing I don't agree with Hakstol wanting to do is the ability to start recruiting other teams players that have verbally committed. I fully support the idea of recruiting CHL players, though. It's only fair.
  4. Good read. The X is either hosting the NCHC tournament or the B1G. I have a feeling that the NCHC will get it since the B1G is already committed to having the first two years conference tournaments at the top seeds arena. That definitely won't continue, though, in my opinion. Due to the fact that they will realize they can make much more money hosting it at larger venues.
  5. Definitely a clean hit. Shouldn't respond like that when he knows cameras are on him. Nonetheless, pretty disappointed in the call.
  6. Everyone on the last two pages of this thread other than Bale is acting like a kindergardner...its awesome
  7. Does this stream work good http://espn.go.com/w...size/condensed/ Sorry, I just felt as if I had to do it
  8. I seriously hope the Big Sky changes that. I'm so disappointed by the support UND football gets, especially for being a pretty decent team. I'm a fan of UND football and basketball.
  9. Hopefully the antifun policies will finally come to an end!! I'm so excited about this. I hope the new AD allows coach Kill to let football tailgating start Thursday like he said he wants it too!
  10. That's what Gopher fans were saying and a lot of UMD fans told us that a lot of people go sit in the bars or something like that in the arena or else stand up top instead of their seats. Not sure if this is true, but that's what I was told.
  11. Haha that's exactly what I figured as well. Easy way for him to see his boy twice a year and eat dinner with him. I believe he starts next season. Not positive on that, though. They must have a pretty good relationship because Mario said on twitter the other day that he's going to his first NFL game ever with his dad. (The Super Bowl).
  12. I thought Minnesota had the tie breaker with UMD as well? I still think first place is a toss up between those two teams, as UMD's schedule is a bit more favorable from here on out, but the series with Tech hurt them. Before that series I thought they were almost guaranteed to win the league the way they were playing.
  13. I've wondered about this as well, and my only assumption is that Lucia wanted them on the schedule since it's his alma mater.
  14. Have to agree with DHG on that, posting pictures of somebody and their family should not be allowed on here unless the person permits it.
  15. I hate Roman, he knows absolutely nothing about college hockey, he does it because its his job and that's it. I was on his weekly chat a couple weeks ago and I was giving him answers to almost every question because he had no idea.
  16. I believe the only cable system that will support UND games now is Midcontinent. Like I said, though. Give it some time, a lot of things can happen in the next year and a half.
  17. Pretty sure FSN-North is out of the question due to the Gophers, Wild, T-Wolves, etc. Unless they can find free weekends to get UND on FSN+. I'm not sure on the UNDSN going to UND, though. I believe DirecTV has to pick up the channel through Midcontinent. Chances are very slim since DirecTV would probably be paying Midco for the channel. Unless UNDSN makes their own deal with DirecTV, which also seems like a long shot. I guess we'll see, though! Lots can happen!
  18. Via Schlossman on Twitter: "CBS Sports Network TV deal (3 yrs contract) is probably good for those locally - home games will still be on TV and some in HD. It's a bad deal for those who live in Ariz., Calif., Colo., etc., who will now be watching a lot more webcasts."
  19. Nope, apparently the deal is that they cannot be broadcasted nationally unless it's on CBS Sports. The games will still be on tv in this region but that's it.
  20. Ouch. I didn't know this until now. The deal with the NCHC and CBS Sports means UND CANNOT broadcast games nationally on FCS. That's a big hit no matter what way you look at it.
  21. Good timing Beat me by a minute
  22. The TV deal for the NCHC has been finalized and announced. This is via @stevelepore on Twitter: "CBS Sports Net will become the official home for the new NCHC. CBS will air 18-20 games from the conference, including their semi-finals and championship game." This equals out to be 15-17 regular season games then.
  23. Keith Ballard, Jordan Leopold, Paul Martin and Chris Harrington beg to differ.
