  1. It's like this for everybody, though. Look at Charlie Coyle who left BU earlier this year. WCHA is FAR tougher than the CHL because the players are often around 4 years older than most of the players in the CHL. This is why the really "skilled" players go the CHL route. The competition isn't as tough so they can rack up some major points and help draft status
  2. I love the Kegs. Luckily I live two blocks from it So I've heard. I'll give it a try one of these days
  3. I've actually never eaten at Speedway before.
  4. I agree with you on that. Love the place for the beer, but the burgers aren't anything special IMO. Green Mill, Five Guys and even Buffalo Wild Wings burgers are much better than JL Beers IMO.
  5. I like how Lucia said that he hopes they all had girlfriends before they dyed their hair because now they're all so ugly they won't even get a date.
  6. SCSU won an NCAA tournament game last year?
  7. The rafters must look pretty bare in there now
  8. It was the Hall of Fame game. Maine beat Minnesota 3-1 at the X
  9. I really think he's NHL ready as well, although, due to his age alone I can guarantee you that he will be playing at least one year in the AHL if he leaves right now. He doesn't have the skill of someone like Crosby or Toews, where he can compete in the NHL at 19 years old.
  10. I think SCSU is currently making their banner for participating in the Final Five
  11. It's actually sounding more and more likely he'll be back for at least one more year. According to some people on GPL, people in Bjugstads family (primarily his uncle who played for the Gophers) are trying to get him to stay all four years.
  12. He'll have enforcers. Look at Nathan Gerbe for Buffalo
  13. If he leaves I have no doubt he'll be in the NHL next season
  14. . I'll just tell you it's a reliable source.
  15. This is exactly how they got her. Offered the parents jobs and they took it
  16. Hate when that happens! I don't see how this is possible or how accurate Roman/Charley Walters are, but I'm still extremely skeptical of this report. "Even though the Florida Panthers want to sign the Gophers' Nick Bjugstad, a former first-round draft pick, it appears the former Mr. Hockey from Blaine will remain for his junior season at Minnesota. Bjugstad, 19, accelerated graduation in high school. Otherwise, he would be a true freshman at Minnesota this season." http://www.twincities.com/vikings/ci_20121512/shooter-now-peyton-manning-will-rise-again-ben?IADID=Search-www.twincities.com-www.twincities.com
  17. I've heard some inside things involving the family and the coaches and lets just say there's some dilemmas. I will not post what it is because I promised the guy who told me that I wouldn't, but from what I heard and with the kind of year Kristo has had, it's very, very unlikely that he will be back. If he does come back then his team mates will have done a lot of begging to say the least.
  18. Haha UND proved me wrong this year that's for sure. As for having all upperclassmen returning next year, don't count on it. I've heard that it's almost certain Kristo will be gone. Haven't heard anything about other players, though.
  19. Public schools recruit too. Warroad does it. My best friends sister was recruited from East Grand Forks, she captained their team this season.
  20. I know he's not a UND prospect, but Grant Besse (future popcorn skunk) has 5 goals for Benilde St. Margarets in the Class AA title game. 3 of those SH
  21. Dear God almighty. Check out this from the Maine and Merrimack game tonight. Total PIM include 184 PIM, 50 penalties, 9 misconducts
  22. And in actual NCAA hockey news according to Brad, UAA's leading scorer has been kicked off the team due to academics. That's the second time this season UAA has lost its leading scorer. They lost the first one right around Christmas break.
  23. I do fully agree with this. Sure it will remain heated if they play the first couple years since players will still know each other from past years. But after a couple years it just won't be the same. There's nothing at stake.
  24. I get what he was trying to say. To an extent he's right. Programs like Minnesota AND UND probably have damn near every program in the nation knocking on their door to get games scheduled together. I know from speaking with UM AD Joel Maturi, that if UND had dropped the nickname the rivalry with Minnesota would have continued immediately. He also told me that as long as UND is using the nickname they have no interest in talking about scheduling them either. Maturi told me that's not his choice, but the policy that the University has in place. He said that personally he would like to see the rivalry continue but that there's just nothing he can do about it at the moment. And since he's leaving his AD position June 30th, it seems highly unlikely that it will happen since the nickname will almost certainly still be in place at that time.
