  1. Getting away from the distractions of family could be good for him. Hopefully he's learned some life lessons from his time here, although I don't think MoSU academics and Petrino disciplinary standards could be a challenge for many.
  2. Enjoy yourself
  3. Gotta be careful and learn from ndsu's mistakes on that one. Their heated sidewalks are never turned on because they didn't account for where the melt would flow (and create an ice rink).
  4. Given Duluth players' propensity to dive, I'd prefer to avoid the 5 minute major and dq.
  5. If Brad's reporting is correct and the money came from the Engelstad Foundation (KEM), then good for UND on getting her to give us money again. If it actually came from the REA Foundation, it's further evidence of the arena management spending what should be UND's money in a way that may not be the most efficient or effective for the university.
  6. Although I never made it to the one in GF, I actually like Sickies in Bismarck. Good wings, beer, and enclosed "patio" area. Hopefully the new restaurant will be what the Whitey's location needs. Blue Moose food, outside of the spinach queso, really isn't very good anymore, but it still seems to be packed most nights. Not sure why the Whitey's building can't stay full.... with the theater, greenway, and Cabela's right there, it shouldn't really be a traffic issue. Maybe parking + the space is too big?
  7. Death by a thousand cuts.
  8. He the guy from Bismarck Shiloh a couple years ago?

  10. Kid gloves can definitely be removed when dealing with him.
  11. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/local/fufeng-group-gets-a-big-city-hall-win-and-looks-poised-to-break-ground No mention of who repays the state loans, but it looks like most of the infrastructure costs will not be paid by the local government at least. If other local businesses/individuals are hit by the special assessments (and I assume they are), I can understand them being very upset about the project. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/local/petitioners-mount-effort-to-force-citywide-vote-on-fufeng-group-plant I support some limited property tax breaks, but 20 years of +75%, to me, is excessive. With that said, this project should greatly benefit Grand Forks and the state.
  12. Which is it?
  13. The state has already allocated $150 million for the pipeline, with plans to give another $150 million in 2023, so it sounds like that part is happening.
  14. Grand Forks first. I like that.
  15. 6'3" 215# guard. Looks like he also holds an offer from D1 Charleston Southern. Scored 42 points against NSIC regular season champs UMD in the playoffs.
  16. If it's a donation, yes. If it's financed by the REA/students, no.
  17. Interesting twitter thread:
