Basketball and football are not the same and I think we all understand that.

Notre Dame didn't really do it to themselves. On Tuesday, they were told (along with the rest of America) that they were in. On Sunday, they were told that they were not...even though nothing changed in that time. The committee made it clear in the past few weeks that they had directly compared ND with Miami and that Notre Dame was their selection. Frankly, I think the only reason they aren't in is because Virginia lost to Duke, and the committee was afraid of leaving out a "P4" conference entirely. Now did they lose games they coulda shoulda won? Sure. Agreed on that 100%. But make no mistake, this exposed a really major flaw in the system.

This aint happening. They aren't going to give the G6 40% of the playoff field nor should they.

UND should probably win this game. If they don't, they deserve to sit at home.

UND's defense should curbstomp the offensive players btw. Held NDSU under 20 and lost. The defense deserves better

Had a blast in grand forks. Game was fun. The little girls in front of me gave me a hard time. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend as well despite the loss

This year single game tickets at NDSU look like they are about $65/sideline and $55/end zone other than. St. Thomas (reduced). I'm guessing tickets for NDSU/UND or NDSU/SDSU in the dome would be a premium? I've always just went with my dad so not sure. I would guess the price is similar +/- $10-15. Maybe the premium on this game is a bit steep (or isnt) but there is no reason UND should ignore the substantially higher demand. I think they probably priced it out pretty well by looking at the seat map. EDIT: you do want the butts in seats. It's tough to do that these days at most schools. But 95% of the time, the issue isnt the price there. Its lack of interest.

9 seems about right. If NDSU wins I expect them to cover that but things happen. Some friends and I will be up there Friday evening.

We have rented a room for the night after the game. They can borrow it while we are at dinner and getting (hopefully celebratory) drinks.

422 million is what the alumni association says it is. I've always been under the impression that schools pool everything together for a total number regardless of how donations are earmarked or whatever.

Not sure who would be able to do that. The owners make more money by growing the game overseas. The American market is saturated. The European market is not.

Couple ways of looking at it...a 5k arena at max capacity is probably a better atmosphere than 6500 at a 13k arena or whatever the Ralph holds. They rotate between GF and Fargo don't they?

UConn is not a big school by many definitions. Its a small state school that has a great basketball team for whatever reason
