A team from Cedar City, Utah is actually our biggest rival at this point in time. buy/sell
-
Well that is relevant news. Does that involve registering at each university's website, or do you suppose the UND road game feeds would be picked up by UND Insider?
-
Its a bit of a quandry, seems you need to have both Midco and Directv (or dishnetwork) to get all the available broadcasts, or just hope that at the last minute there will be some notice that a game you would not otherwise get will be webcast. I get Midco here in southeast SD so I get the hockey games and most of the football, but I would also like to get Root. Since UND is in the Big Sky all the games are of interest, even the ones UND is not playing in. Very hard to plan for receiving webcasts since they typically are not announced until just a few days before a game.
-
This thread died without resolving a question posed by another poster as to the broadcasting of certain games by Root Sports, most noteably the U Montana fb game. Does anyone know whether this gane and other Root broadcasted games would be webcast by UND Insider? How about Midcontinent, would midco be given the option of carrying certain games (since the don't carry a Root channel)?

By al that is sacred can the mudslinging and bickering over the Sioux name/logo stop? its been almost a month sonce the vote.
-
I would also like to see USD vs UND re-established since I live in Vermillion and love watching the TTFKATFS beating the Coyotes in the DakotaDome.
-
Here is a stat for you...UND's record against those teams last year was 1-0. UND also has alot of returning talent to match up with the returnees from those teams. The rest of your post amounts to unsubstantiated assertion.

Good questions that I'd also like to know the answers to...... Anyone?
-
For those of us that don't live in the GF area its a bit of a wait. Kinda hard to get totally engrossed in pratice games from afar. The SD MInes game will be much the same ..kinda like a televised exhibition game.
-
Hey, I am a UND alum and didn't get a vote because I live in South Dakota. Here is one thing a have to say though....thanks to the NDSU people that did the right thing and voted "yes".
-
In five years ndsu will probably be in the Big Sky. SDSU and USD...maybe.
-
So, fill me in on the details concerning Sac St fans and media. Could be the start of a rivalry and I wanna know all about it.
-
A conference record including the Portland State game of better than 500 will be a good season considering we have never experienced the grind of playing Big Sky opponents every week. I would also like to see us beat Montana more than any other team...the griz are the conference champs and we have more of a history with them than anyone else.
-
Let me see if I can clear things up a bit. There ain't no double negatives that are clearly understood with difficulty. Glad I could help.
-
This sentence is a train wreck. What is accredition? Somehow I doubt your position on the name and logo is any better considered than is this post.
-
This statement is as concise, to the point, and accurate as any comment I've seen regarding the consequences of a "no" vote. Not only will UND be playing the likes of Mayville State alot, but they will lose to these teams as often as not. Keeping the name/logo is not an option if you are a fan of UND teams. I would vote "yes" if I could but I am out of state, but I ask ND residents to do what is right, especially you NDSU people. Let's get the old rivalry going and once going lets keep it vital.
-
I voted 4th but with the core of last year's team back and with a dramatically improved passing game the Sioux (or whomever) will be a challenge to everyone they play...or at least have the potential to be. Injuries and the grind of playing conference games every week will be potential jokers.

Other than in hockey, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa have all blacklisted UND. Saying that the Big Sky would not retract UND membership only makes sense if it can be demonstrated that the mindset demonstrated by these three schools is restricted to the upper Midwest, a proposition that I find preposterous.

The June vote is critical. I'm a UND alumnus but don't live in ND anymore. Do you people in ND have a sense as to how the voting is going to go?
-
I wonder about the same thing....all these threads about the 1st season of football in the Big Sky presume we won't get 86'd if the June vote goes the wrong way. I can see most of the scheduled games against BS teams being played but as nonconference games and then in 2013 get ready for U. Sioux Falls and Dickinson State.

Both the football and men's hockey teams have fought through some early season adversity this year to attain success. It has been gratifying following both teams. Very proud of my alma mater right now.
-
UND has by far the biggest geology and geo engineering program which has a tad bit of relevance to the ND perroleum industry.

How about you guys with the fancy computer skillls do something useful and post up all the historic FB and hockey unis? Like Dave Osborne in his white helmut with green center stripe, green jersey, white pants. Personally I liked the gray and green fronm the 70's the best

Why are you so certain of this?
