Interesting, what conference would they join?

Pac-12 Commish Larry Scott's is now on board to some extent with the other top 5 conferences: http://www.dailynews.com/sports/ci_23735227/college-football-pac-12-commissioner-larry-scott-says Scott is looking at this kind of like the B1G in that he thinks that scheduling FCS teams is "unhealthy." This is a good read.

Also a small side effect of getting some new season ticket holders through this promotion could be that since they are probably casual fans anyway, they probably won't go to all of the games. Since tickets are such a good deal and seven home games they may simply give away tickets to other new fans who may be on the fence but wouldn't pull the trigger. Sometimes all it takes is to get someone new there once and they are hooked. A solid winning season also goes a long way so let's not forget that.

I am genuinely curious to see how this promo goes. IDK if anyone saw Tom Miller's tweet yesterday but apparently someone called him after reading his article and left a voicemail asking for tickets and even left a credit card number. First of all this would only happen in Nodak...what a great place! Seriously though that is a good sign. My gut tells me that this will go well because people up there like these type of promotions where they can interact with the team and coached face to face. It shows a sense of community and that goes a long way up north. Thoughts?

I don't have approximate numbers but I was told that attendance per game last year was up 1300 and at this point tickets are tracking better than last year. That is good news!

Sell- I really liked the blacks but I hope i am wrong and the whites have a cool pattern like the blacks.

It is nice to see all of these teams stepping it up a bit. I hope the sport continues to progress out west. Last fall a friend talked me into going to CU vs CSU at the pepsi center and it was like a good high school game; except for the beer.

This would be pretty cool! University of Utah or Boise State while we are at it.

It is the first that I have heard of them. We have another D-line JC transfer coming in that was announced a month or two ago. I need to go back and look but it would be odd to announce a transfer a couple months ago and then announce him again with a late recruit our of high school. Edit: I went back in looked and Espinoza, the JC transfer, was announced back in May. Not sure why they announced him again as that is kind of confusing. Regardless some good depth added in a position of need.

If that is the case they would probably go with a politically correct rainbow logo...

I can see what you mean but here is the other side of the coin: 1) Valpo is bad, no doubt about it, but they are a D1 counter...we need to get to seven wins. 2) We have redshirt freshies at QB...they need some real game experience before they face SDSU, UM, MSU, EWU. 3) This game will help our new defense get accustomed to new schemes. 4) I love seeing us blow someone out....the rest of the schedule has no guaranteed wins.

This kid is impressive! Compared to last year he looked like a grown man in the spring game. If opposing teams double team Hardin they will hear a lot from Mr. Golladay!

You nailed it. Win a couple early and that should help. Win consistently and UND Football becomes cool again. People tend to be more sheepish in that they will follow the herd rather than lead. Consistent winning will catch the attention of this "herd" and they will move toward it over time (will not happen in one season). Just my opinion as a Digital Marketing Professional. You have to make this cool again and winning will go a long way...not the only answer but rather a major piece of the puzzle.
