I still don't understand why everyone is picking Sac St to come into our house and win...I think they are all forgetting that we went in there last year and rolled them 35-13...with a poor defense. Did they get some big transfers or something?
-
That may be true but the lower tier does not hold the bargaining chips...
-
If we can contain their RB Zenner we have a shot...by contain I don't mean shut down because that kid is too good. I mean keeping him below 150 yards and getting a couple clutch stops when absolutely needed. Then they will be forced to beat us in the air and from all indications we are much better in the secondary this year compared to the past few seasons. That said I seriously hope they come into the Alerus thinking that they have already won.

That and even Weber State received a couple votes. CM has it right in that outside of the top 10 it is hard to take this poll seriously.
-
I hope the team sees this pole because nobody respects them. This should make the chip on the shoulder a bit bigger.

They would be a fierce combination! Hardin definitely has the speed and play making ability for NFL but does he have the size and endurance? Personally I think he can make it in the NFL but think he could be a stud in the CFL. I would be curious to hear some thoughts from others on this...
-
Yeah I know...i was just seeing if I could get anyone talking about this.

According to Freund there are three scouts from different teams at practice today. I know scouts have been to practices in the past but has there been scouts from three different teams at the same practice before? Who do you suppose they are looking at?

Hopefully down the road we can say the same things about Molberg / Bartels and company!

Defense: DB Butler- Kid is a talented beast. If he can connect the dots in the playbook he could be special. LB Goodman- He has been a starter but he was injured most of last season. I think he has a great season if he can stay healthy. Offense: Shaugs- He runs mean and that is one element of the run game that we were lacking, See game at UNC. Sparks- He is that solid but quick tailback that resembles some of the better Big Sky running backs. The PSU back that tore us up comes to mind. Of course he needs to get some playing time first. Special Teams: Casey Young- From what i have gathered he has a great work ethic and is a good program guy. I hope he ends up being the long snapper because I can see him getting off the line quickly and getting downfield to help cover punts. If that's the case we could see some good hits out of him.

That's rich.

My thoughts as well. If teams decide to double up on Hardin they are in for a rude awakening courtesy of: Golladay, Jackson, Townsend, RJ...Casey Young seems ready to step in if called upon as well. I hope they don't double up on Hardin too much because he is in a position to break more records if he keeps up the pace. Also looking forward to any fall camp reports from those who have attended practice.

Wow that is funny....like the honey badger, those KSU fans don't give a !@$!!

Have you played the game competitively or not?
-
Based on your argument you have clearly never played or made an effort to understand the game.

That is pretty cool!

That's about right. I grew up playing against GF in hockey and with some of the guys in the summer and the level of dedication to hockey in GF is unmatched in the state, and much of the country for that matter. There is opportunity for football to grow, and since hockey is already so entrenched in GF, I am more interested in growing football at this point.

http://instagram.com/p/cwZOkZNcH1/ It appears PJ Sparks has indeed put the work in over the winter / summer. Kid looks jacked right now!

Dude it is as popular now as it was in the 90's....a good non scientific example is compare the turnout for the NHL championship parade in Chicago versus the turnout in Miami...not even close. Not to mention many of these NBA "Fans" have no clue what they are talking about: http://ballislife.com/clueless-miami-heat-fans-talk-about-heat-players-that-dont-exist-on-jimmy-kimmel/

ESPN hates the NHL as well ...
-
That's pretty funny. I haven't heard anyone liken restarting the rivalry to that...well played sir.
-
In the past i have been so-so about rekindling the rivalry, but after watching the fire and ice clip again I find myself wanting to see the game again. Do we play for the Nickel Trophy? Probably not, but that is debatable. The ideal situation would be for UND to make the playoffs and face off against NDSU. I think that event alone would spark a resurgence in both fan bases to get something going again. This would be the hottest game in FCS playoffs regardless of what round it is. Funny thing here that i can't get over is that both schools are 70 miles apart and yet even though it has proven very difficult to to build an ideal FCS schedule, they don't play. I understand the history but this has to be odd from an outsider looking in...
-
At this point I am interested to see if any football games will be on FCS. Big Sky TV is great but a televised game is even better...
-
Also I want to add that if there is some sort of reclassification I have to think that some teams from the AAC and MWC will find a way to move up. At this point i's guess: Boise State San Diego State Cincy RUtgers Maybe: Nevada, Uconn
