I don't get the logic from Motzko, UND is the most penalized team in the WCHA however, there have been two DQ's all year, he must be using Donny Lucia logic. I know he has said that about UND in the past too. I would say most teams in our league play hard nosed hockey and a fight could happen at any moment if the refs let the play get out of hand like they did on Saturday night... Even the Gophers play hard nosed hockey, recieving one DQ for Harrington's scrum on Saturday night of the Niagra game. We can debate wether it was a DQ or not but it wasn't changed. Running the goalie is a trick I see happening a lot lately. Denver was doing it a lot too when they played UND earlier in the season. I have seen the Sterling runs over the years too. For a small guy Sterlin has a yellow stripe down the back of his jersey he is mean. , I am pretty sure he will cool it if he ever makes it to the NHL. If I remember right SCSU are not a bunch of choir boys. I can remember a series in 1998 or 1999 when they sent a player out to do a dirty deed that had to be responded to by Matt Henderson coming off the bench and pummeling a SCSU player. I can remember Blaiser on being asked if they sent that player out, said, you don't want me to answer that question. If I remember right Gaffenany got his ass kicked by someone I believe Commodore a few years back too.

Right that is what I was thinking about. How many times has Parise been run this season?

I think the WCHA is going to get 5 teams in again this season and I don't see the CCHA getting 5 in. Besides in my opinion the EZAC is getting too much credit.

I think Alexander is a pretty good hockey players and look good during the Harvard series. I thought he skated real well with the puck and didn't make a bunch of mistakes.

The NCAA would never allow it based on their holier than though attitude.

I think everyone is over looking the BADgers this weekend, I don't see Minny taking 3/4 points against the BADders, their a defensive dynamo even without Elliot. I would be glad to bet a beer or something like that. I also think that UAA is going to get steam rolled by the Gophers.

Talk about wearing Maroon and Gold glasses. I would be willing to bet the Gophers have a good chance of getting swept this weekend.

This is what is happening, I think some are considering cross check and horse collars to be trash talk and that isn't true. Its called cheap shots or dirty play and must be responded to.

I believe in my HMO that Mankato got its butt handed to them last night. I was impressed with Radke standing up for one of his players. If you noticed Drew got the boys settled down at the end of the game so we didn't lose anymore players to the bush league tactics. This isn't over between our two teams.. In the future maybe coach will have to send out a player like Prpich, Kaip or Marvin to protect skilled players like Sparky. They call it picking your place. Hopefully PRP picks his time against Denver and Punkovich.

It might have been ugly. Radke worked his dance partner pretty hard. It looks as if he has been in a few fights over the course of his career.

Maybe so but I think we are probably done with the thugs from Mankato. UND is definately a better team but stooped to their level. The thing that p!$$ed me off was an out right attempt to goad our stars not our tougher players, it was funny to see Prpich not in the middle of all the fighting and extra bs after the wistle. Seems kind of bush league to do it at the end of the game like that I can see the first game of the series thats fine. That is why I hate the fighting rule in hockey the big talkers/slash and hack artists can run their mouths all game without having to pay for it. I like the fact that they all stood up for each other, it shows character and guts. I also liked what I have seen the last three games. Don't worry we can beat SCSU without Sparky and Radke. We need to take the puck to the net on their big goalie too.

Mankato is a classless bunch of no talent hacks, their play this weekend was some of the dirties play I have ever seen in a WCHA game. Its obvious they can't stay with UND so they decided to Goon it up and take liberties with out skilled players. Sparky got a DQ (he has like three penalties his whole career) for being jumped and suckered, I am not sure he even threw a punch, it is hard to throw a punch when there is someone on your back. The play that resulted in the four DQ's looked as if it was a planned play to get our top players out of the game. I have no respect for Troy Jutting at all, the man is a bush league coach. His teams run their mouth up and down the ice and throw more cheap shot than Tie Domi. Thank God Radke pummeld that goon. Zelking should be ashamed of himself for letting this game get out of hand. Big Kudoos to team leader Drew Stafford for huddling the boys up and telling them to settle down and stay out of the extra B.S.

Sounds like I detect a skippy alert coming. I agree with Sica I believe Minnesota got beat in their last game against UND and I will always say, winning in the regular season means nothing to me to a certain degree. The wins in the Playoffs, 0-2 was Minnesotas record against UND last season is the one that matter the most. I don't care if Lucia said the Final Five loss didn't matter, he is full of it.

Lets get two clowns out on the ice calling penalties, we would never see 5 on 5.

I am predicting a hard fought series and a sweep. I predict that MSU-M is going to spend a lot of its time running its mouth, I predict that Prpich is going to tangle with McKelvee. Lets just say that I am not impressed with MSU-M's record of the past 8 games, lets say that MSU-M went 6-1-1 against the week sisters of the poor, I don't think they played one top twenty program druing that time. If they had beaten some good programs I would have been impressed but they didn't. I am not saying UND should come out flat because if they do that is unexceptable. I just think UND should wipe the stupid grin of MSU-M players and their smug coach Jutting. Jutting is the king of Busch League tactics. By the way I hate it when we play MSU-Mancows they always come to town running their mouths and their sticks up high. I hope their coach says something stupid like UND has no heart. Classic.

Ok, lest break this down further, Mankato have and tied beat UNO, tied and lost to Minnesota Duluth, beat and lost to Notre Dame, beat and lost to MTU, tied Yale, beat UNO and UAH (must have been a tourney), and beat UAA (2). That in my opinion is not very impressive list of teams, however, they have beat UND at home in the past. So on paper UND should win this series.

I could agree with that in principle. Actually well said. I used to think that Zelkin was ok, until I saw him do his number on UND this year during the Wisconsin series.

I have seen the officating good but in the NHL, it just seems that college is way more biased then the NHL. I have seen a lot of ticky tacky penalty calling in college this season and I think the refs have it out for UND for some reason, wether its the arena or we are still paying for how Blais worked over and complained about the refs all the time. I think the officating in the WCHA is second rate. S#!tty, would be the word I use.

No I mean in section 303 we don't have as much of the same b.s. as you some who sit in the lower bowl. Most of the people who sit in our section sit on their hands or don't come at all.

Yeah, maybe but I would like them to at least wait till the play is stopped before they head to the beer stand and tell their kids that aren't watching the game to please wait to stand up and move after the play has stopped too. Also, please use your phone between periods when it doesn't bother anyone. In the upper deck its not as bad as down low.
