  1. They are elites they don't care what the "common folk" have to think, they are out of touch to them it's only a name... In their world they think they are smarter than us and look down on us with contempt. Does anyone see a problem here? Game over.

Call up the Alumni office ask for Tim Okeefe' I asked him point blank he assured me that was a urgan legend. I asked my Wife's Uncle who is the Architect for the state of North Dakota in Bismarck he said, it would be illegal to blow up the Ralph. It's not going to happen folks.
  3. Hey Big A HG can you put that on the front of a Reebok Jersey? That would be a killer logo.
  4. I think it's time for the big money Alumni to get the ball rolling to have Kelly removed. It's obvious he isn't a very good leader and I am sick and tired of his B.S. about whining about the nickname all of the time. Time to be a leader not a bitcher and complainer, Kupcake isn't looking too bad any more. .
  5. Nah that's ok, imagine a Columbia Blue Peacock... Not an impressive bird if you get my drift.
  6. Great 2001 was a great season for UND football, but seriously "FlickerTails" is a horrible nickname and will not be the replacement for the Fighting Sioux if SHBoE pulls the name on the Fighting Sioux. Flickertails is almost as bad of a nickname as my first college the UIU Peacocks... Seriously!
  7. So are you talking about Central, Red River or East Side?
  8. I thought it looked good. I like it a lot better than some stupid name like Flickertails. I have other words that I could describe that name but this is a family forum and I save my coarse language when golfing...
  9. I don't know if you hunt or not but that isn't exactly true. Ever been spurred by a Rooster? Ask Fetch, Sprig and Sioux Rube, I am sure they can tell you some stories. A lot of times I have a Pheasant get shot in the field and see it hit the ground running. Ask my Lab Dakota if Pheasants are tough and put up a fight. Pheasants are a very tough bird and run like the wind. I would rather see UND be called the Fighting Sioux but a Pheasant is a lot tougher than a Flickertail.
  10. Go Cocks Go...
  11. BECAUSE, it is a stupid nickname that was killed long ago and its wussy like.
  12. I am glad the times have changed. Currently the Blackhawks are thriving and making strides in the right direction... You can't turn on the NHL channel without seeing Toews and Kane. They are also my pick to come out of the Western conference this season for the Stanley Cup Finals.
  13. Well that would make sense if they are strapped for cash and don't have the money to burn they might want to see which way the Stat Board of Higher Education is leaning before they go out and spend the money.
  14. I think that you are on to something, I think he just wants to kill the name he could give a rats ass about the Sioux getting into the Summitt league.
  15. Yeah Ok! Put down the pipe.
  16. LOL... I was dying for an opportunity to use that word.
  17. Sure! Of course you do. Why wouldn't you?
  18. If I read it right it just gets you on the list that they pick from.
  19. Really! I look forward to your exhaustive and extensive quantitative study on this.
  20. I would rather be bitter than clueless.
  21. I would be willing to bet there would be a measureable drop off in sales and that you would have people wearing their Fighting Sioux jerseys and not the new ones. You're underestimating the importance of the Fighting Sioux logo.
  22. So how do you plan on measuring that?
  23. UND isn't even a full fledged member of Division 1 yet so I doubt they would get any money until they finished the transition.
  24. Whatever! That wasn't pointed at you I was saying MPLSBison Fan endless prattle, not you... How the hell did you think I was pointing that comment at you.
