     NCAA Mens Hockey

    04/04/02  205 Michigan +200   +1.5 (-160)

Hey Scott any line on Hauser imploding?  :)

  2. Dahl was on the radio this morning and it sounds like Molly the Cheerleader is not too far off about Michigan fans being foul, mean and nasty.

Craig Dahl (Dahlie Lama as Skeeterman call him) said the language of the Michigan fans was appalling. Sounds like the Huskies got hommered really bad by winding the clock another 2-3 and three seconds after the wistle blew. SCSU got screwed when they scored 5-3 and the goal was scored before the first penatly expiried. However, the refs did not see that way and SCCC got screwed.f

Dahl was also against the NCAA giving the home teams the home rink ie Michigan in Yost... I do not think this will change because the NCA$$ is all about money and its a no brainer.

  4. I FOUND THIS ON ESPN. Its the transcript of Leo's chat on espn earlier today. Interesting.

SCSU RULES!: Why did you guys have to beat us on senior night? Anyways, who has been the best player that you've played against in your college career.

Jordan Leopold: (2:20 PM ET ) Because you beat us all the time on Senior Night!! I think my college career, Jason Blake from North Dakota was the best. He is just like the energizer bunny .. never stops.

  5. Here is the WCHA stats for the season

Here is how UND young guys shaped up.

Gm  Rec    GA    GAA    SV %

    Jake Brandt,     12   4-4-0  31  3.23    .902

    Josh Siembida, 12    5-6-1  39  3.63    .887

  6. Justin Johnson, MN, freshman

Wasn't Johnson also the name of the freshman who was in net for Mankato when they spanked the Sioux at home?

    Jake Moreland, SCSU, junior

    Kurt Johnson, UAA, junior

    Kevin Reiter, UAA, sophomore

    Adam Berkhoel, DU, sophomore

    Just a few.

  7. Actually I wouldn't be surprise to see Maine win it. There is a lot emotions on that team with Coach Walsh dying. The more I think about it the more I could see them winning. Goaltending is Minnesota's achillies heal. I just don't think UofM can score enough goals to counter act Hauser.

  8. It has been announced that Mark Hartigen is gone, signed with the Wild. Talk about a young exciting team.

I think this will start the Huskies slide. Dicas and Hartigan gone for SCCC, Badgers lose 8 so-so seniors, C.C. is losing 8 seniors, the league is going to be wide open next season.

  9. I was trying to think of Goalie names around the league but I could only really remember Weber, Kabatonoff, Bruckler. The way people come and go in this league, its hard to keep track of people...

  10. Oh, come on now, he,he,he,he,he...

I will be happy with 40 points

I think Blais will expect more from Speedwack and Noterman, but also Bochen$ki.

    How does this sound:

    Parise to Bochen$kis scores.

Fournier short handed scores, what a play...

Speedwack to Noterman Scores. Hale coming in on Weber he shoots scores... Parise breaking in with Noterman on the wing shooting scores... Sioux win...

I can't wait for next season.

  11. Here is how I think it will go:

    Minnesota vs Michigan: Minnesota

    Maine vs New Hampshire: UNH

    Championship: UNH

    I picked UNH too. :)

Just a hunch. Michigan is hot and they will beat you up. I think their style of play bodes well in a NHL Rink...

  12. I agree with you too, jk.  Tony Hrkac wasn't the Hrkac Circus until he went away for a year and then came back.

Yeah, he had a good year by freshmen standards, but that's what it was a good year.  Don't know the numbers....

I just want to see us contend again, really as we have seen it your third in the division and you get an NCAA bid like Minnesota did McNaughtens are a bonus. ;)  :)  ;)

  13. I would rather see a team from the east win it, then Minnesota or Michigan!

Actually I don't want to hear it from my family members, one of my brother in laws is an ex-Gopher hockey player and came up to me at Tom Reids during the final five and was yapping about how it rules that UND has been owned by the Gophers. I didn't start with him because I was surrounded by Gopher fans.

I mean really I don't have anything against the Gopher fans they are good guys/gals for the most part, I think SCSU is the college that is full of Rubes... I just don't want to listen to my family members spouting off about the Gophers, anyway 7>3, also 7>4 so either way it doesn't matter...

  14. When interviewed at the all star game, Vanek sounded a bit iffy about what he'd do if offered lots of bucks. Believe he said he's probably end up at MN next year but I wouldn't be suprised if he takes a big bucks offer and skips college.

I just hope they dont start jumping off dridges to the south of us if Vanek does play at the UofM. I be surprised if he made that big of an impact. Playing the WCHA is a lot harder than playing in the USHL...
