  1. That's harsh....

That is a compliment the more I think about it. An SCCC cheer leader basically admitting they are the smaller Jan Brady State University, going against the big time giants like UoM, UofMichigan, UND.

Molly basically sounded like a 2 bit dummy, an air head, some sirority girl, that has probably been to one to many keggars this week, she probably slipped when being interviewied. Molly should have known better. Don't get me wrong I like a good keggar...

  2. Bob Norton (Mr Hockey East) or one of the other East Coast Rubes from FSN interviewed Jack MacDonald Athletic director from QU (I think we are giving him to much power and status) and I guess the final vote for expanding the tourney to 16 team in June or July. MacDonald said it is a slamb dunk or a rubber stamp...

  3. What is the difference here is the Heart of the Junior Class at Michigan and they are John Shouneyia 10-40 = 50 Points, Mike Cammalleri 23-20=43 points and Jed Ortmeyer 15-22-37 Points.  Actually our Junior Class had done more than these guys up until this year, I mean we all know their accomplishments winning a Broadmore, NCAA and NCAA runner-up WCHA title. Michgan I believe has won 1-2 league titles with a final four appearance.

I believe the difference this season was Blackburn, if we had gotten more consistent goaltending we could been right in the thick of it. UND actually beat 3-4 teams in the final four, mind you we did get beat 6-7 times to minnesota but their day will come soon again.

  4. There are two teams in so far, Michigan and Minnesota. I can't stand both of the teams, but I don't want a team from the east to win either.

With the way the devised the ticket it is going to assure that a HE team makes the frozen four. The way they picked the teams this year was a disgrace. Cornell, Harvard and QU as the draws as opposed to MSU, Michigan and C.C.

I would rather see B.U. win than a certain team.

  5. Molly McGannon, a St. Cloud State sophomore, said that the Michigan fans are a bit more unruly than the typical WCHA fan, though.

"The University of Michigan fans are like combining (North Dakota) Sioux fans and Minnesota Gophers fans," said McGannon, a cheerleader for the Huskies. "They're horrible people. It's like they've never seen hockey cheerleaders.

"Their band was obnoxious, horrible, not very welcoming at all. Now it's going to be on their home ice and they'll be worse."

  6. I read somewhere this past year that, I think it was either off the WCHA site or college hockey site, that UND has the NCAA West Regiional 3 or 4 years from now. I will dig it up and report back.
  7. Offical voice of the UND Fighting Sioux Radio network, Tim Hennesey think UND might get a regional next season if they expand the tourney to 16 teams. I think that would be a great event to watch.

    #### Michigan gets a regional this season and next season. I think UND will start applying on a regular basis with the new barn being in the mix.

  8. Yes, Hartigan is done after this year.

He only had 3 yrs eligibility.  Prop 48 thing or something like that.

As for Hartigan I was under the impression that he will be given a contract after SCCC is done in Michigan this weekend. Anyone else heard this?

  9. I agree, Scott, Ballard needs to be straightened out. Loved the very legal hit the Denver Dman (McKenzie???) put on him in the championship game. He popped right up but I'll bet his backside is still sore this week.

    Hey Sprig,

Were you at the Excel center last weekend. I have never heard 18,000+ fans be so quite after Denver scored its fourth goal. The Ballard hit was awesome. Denver dished out some great hits in the championship game.

  10. Thought I'd roll this one back to the top now that we're officially looking forward to next year.

How are we supposed to put hippity-hoppety lines together for next year if we don't know if Genoway can play?  Someone must have an idea now whether we should expect an inconsistent third or fourth-liner or someone who will be competing for time on the top lines.  Anyone?

I think that is going to be the $64,000.00 for next season. Blais seems to talk good about him but didn't get into the particulars...

  11. I believe that the amount is just over 1.5 mil - also the Herald states that Chad Mazurak signed with the Roanoke Express of the East Coast Hockey League.

That is a lot of CHA-CHING if you know what I mean, I am sure most of us would have a hard time turning that down.
