What a night for that line. Hale 1g-2a=3 points Palmo 1g-1a=2 points Marvin 1g-0a=1 point. ___________________ 5 points if my math is right. On a side note Fuher had a 1g-2a=3 points tonight. James Massen and Chris Porter had three points on the weekend.
  2. Does anyone know if we are going to have a X-mas tourney next season? I suppose with the World Junior Tourney we may end up having a Thanksgiving tourney or have UND traveling to one somewhere else.
  3. I agree with that statement. Its nice to see the ND in the fighting Sioux jerseys boys but I like the fact that we are getting some of the gritty guys from the prairies of western Canada. I'd like to see UND look into getting a goalie from B.C. with some size now. In refering to gritty its awesome having Mike P and what he brings to the table, tough, mean and gritty are the first things that come to mind...
  4. Actually if you have NHL center ice it looks as if you can get some of the JR games on. Of course they are on at 0730 am in the morning. I noticed that Canadas game with Switzerland was on today.
  5. Nice tip in by the Brown Defenseman into his own net, I wasn't impressed with Brown or Wayne State. What a brutal game to watch. Must have been like 300 people in the arena for most of the game. Findlay, yawn. I hope tomorrows game is more fun to watch. UND looked rusty and got it going the last half of the third period. I think if UND would have played one more period it would have been 6-1...
  6. Does anyone know if NHL center ice has WJ tourney games on it? I heard they do sometimes.
  7. Merry X-mas everyone...
  8. Saturday on CBC during the coaches corner Dony Cherry said that the team to beat in the WJC is the Americans. I thought that was nice to hear.
  9. Don't forget we beat this guy last year Danis let in 5 goals on 30 shots. Lundbohm had three assits and Bochenski had 4 goals. Look for a big effort from those two guys again. Also, Findlay and WSC are not world beaters and UND should be fine. I have faith UND will be fine.
  10. The Milwaukee Admirals have added two more players to their roster. Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Libor Pivko (LEE-bohrPEEV-koh) to the Milwaukee Admirals and that forward Bryan Lundbohm has agreed to an American Hockey League contract with Milwaukee. Pivko, 23, made his NHL debut last night at Colorado, registering 6:50 of ice time and two shots on goal. The 6-2, 206-pound left wing was recalled on November 21 after posting seven points (3g-4a) and a +5 rating in 12 gameswith the Admirals this season. Pivko was selected by Nashville in the third round (89th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. The Novy Vicin, Czech Rep. native signed his first NHL contract on June 25, 2003. Lundbohm, 26, played the past two seasons for the Admirals scoring 60 points, including 20 goals, while playing in 159 of 160 regular season games. He also scored six points (1g-5a) in six playoff games last season. The 5'10", 190-pound right wing was signed as a free agent by Nashville on May 2, 2001. He played three seasons of collegiate hockey at North Dakota scoring 124 points (56g-68a) in 122 games. In 2000-2001, the Roseau, MN native led the WCHA and finished second in the nation with 32 goals for the Fighting Sioux. In 2000-01, he was a First Team All-WCHA Selection and Second Team All-American. "Brian Lundbohm is a solid player with an outstanding work ethic," said Admirals' Executive Vice President/General Manager Phil Wittliff."He's a durable player who will provide veteran leadership." Both players will be available when the Admirals battle the St. Johns Maple Leafs and former Milwaukee Admirals Captain Marc Moro on Wednesday night, 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Center. Lunbohm has played 11 games and has 2 goals and 2 assists...
  11. I agree some need to chill and cut people some slack unless they are SCCC or Gopher Fans.

    A Fine Line

Anyone want to lay odds that that line is back togther against UAA?

    Nice fan

The Gap is two, 7>5... That is in my book the only thing that matters.
  14. I wonder if someone could ask coach on the coaches show tomorrow night what was said. I would suppose we will never find out what was said between the two coaches. Aren't Hakstol and Sandy Friends?

    BADgers

Bad part is that UND has to go to Madison and doesn't get a return trip from the Badgers either so those two games will loom large... The Badgers are tough to beat in Madtown no matter what year they are playing...

    BADgers

To take a piece from the Coaches show the other night, Blaiser said something to the effect of they haven't played us yet... In refering to the Badgers.

I saw over on the GVSU web page that Sioux Rock has made an appearance.

    Nice fan

SFIP its an over site one my part, most people that know me know that I don't like any team in the WCHA but the Sioux. Yeah put me down for the Gophers sucking too.
  19. I highly doubt what some of these fans are saying, it sounds like UNAfan2003's little tirade he had last weekend and continued into this weekend. I actually think the Students this year have been very well behaved, no major incidents and they have made some great signs... This weekend I had just walked into the REA when I had a fan from UMD tell me that the Sioux sucked. I laughed and him and told him whatever makes you feel well. Then walking out of the arena last night some goofy Gophers fans were talking about how the Gophers were going to rise out of the ashes and win it all. I told him that he should keep on smoking that pipe. Whew... Is it me or am I seeing a lot of UofM fans at REA this year?
  20. I think we will some change when we start playing teams like UAA, MTU and others. I think this season in the second half UND can just plain wear out opponents. With the exception of Yale most of the teams UND has played has had a winning record there really hasn't been an slouchs...
  21. You probably should talk to UNAfan2003, he is over on AL.com whinning about how bad the UND fans are and how he hopes they never come back to Florence. Anyways I wish I would have been there. It was a good game to watch on TV.

    Clueless fans?

This putz can't be for real. I think its funny how ESPN wasn't picking up on this issue. Part 1 Part 2 This guy must be an honor student at UNA These people need to move on and get over the fact that they lost.
  23. I think Zach has played well and UND has not played what I would call a weak schedule either. Every team has had a player drapped all over Zach and its hard to score when you have people clutching, grabbing and holding you. However, that being said, I think there are more opportunities for others in the UND lineup to score and put up points on the board. One person that comes to mind is Genoway who has blossumed (sp) into what I would call a great 2nd line player. Colby has something like 9 or 10 points in the last 4 games. Thats pretty good.
  24. Goal total update. Bochenski 11 Zach 6 Brady 6 I was wondering do goals that Brandon score while the other two are gone count, I would say yes because we are talking about Bochenski, Murray, Zach and then scoring 100 goals. However, I think now that its going to be hard for UND's top line to score 100 goals, unless Bochenski can score a bunch of them against the weaker/lesser teams in the Subway classic. They have 77 to go.
  25. Again apparently you haven't watch a few of the WCHA's mediocre teams ie: SCSU, MSU-M, UAA, MTU, Duluth all hook and hold and clutch and grab because can't keep up with teams like UND. So that statment isn't all that accurate.
