I was thinking more to the effect of getting the ears of the money/power brokers at UND. Money talks... Maybe talk to the Alumni assocation they are the ones that count. This past weekend the arena was pretty passive. Not too intimidating if you ask me.
-
DAR, Your post seems to have more of a silver lining to it. Time to get serious for UND. Blais needs to tell his players losing is not an option. Keep the faith...
-
Trying to put a positive spin on things UND is still number one in the PWR rankings, and second in the KRACH rankings. UND is also only one point out of first place, I also think UND can still win the Mcnaughten Anchor, I am not so sure we want it, although another WCHA banner would look good hanging in the rafters. UMD has to play C.C. next weekend and have the harder of the schedules the rest of the way. I am still thinking UND goes 5-1 down the stretch. If UND stays in the top three they will be fine. Another positve not UND is 5-4-1 the last 10 although not stellar it is not too bad either.

I made the comment to my buddy next to me that we were just padding the stats to get the save percentage up to 90%. Yikes...

LOL, thats funny. Actually UND crashed the net with some purpose last night and I want to see it again tonight. Quinn's goal to start the second period is a perfect example of why you keep playing the puck until the whistle blows.
-
That would be IF they win the play in game. No team has ever won the Final Five having to play the play-in game. Tough order. Still lots of season left though.
-
Lets not forget about Andy Schnider he played like a man that was possessed tonight. I was really impressed with him and Jones. They are both tough as nails.
-
Minnesota is starting to flirt with that play-in game on Thursday night. Oh the humanity.
-
What kind of an answer is that. Tell us either the games are on or they are not on. Sounds like a answer you would expect during a campaign season.
-
Check, Check, Check, Check and checks some more. Bang the oppostion in the corners and crash the net. Muck it up and throw the body around. Never let up and show them who can play more physical. Don't except anything but 4 points. Drive to the net and get the Defense involved in the rushes up ice. Line up at the blue line and make the C.C. forwards dump and chase. If I was the coach I would tell Matt Greene and Matt Smaby to hit everything that moves but play under control. To take stupid penatlies.

NHL loses almost $300 million; strike threatened!
Goon replied to Bisonfan1234's topic in Men's Hockey
Actually Atlanta is pretty fond of its young team and has two budding stars in Danny Healty (former Wisconsin star) and Iyla Kovalchuck who has 61 points good for third in the NHL. They are an exciting young team that has a hugh upside. Stick to football Bison fan -
I agree, got to love a 5'8" player that plays more like he is 6' tall. My assessment of him is that Robbie tough as nails and plays with a lot of heart, has some nice offensive skills.

Areas of blowing and drifting snow possible during the afternoon. - High temperatures from the mid 20's to the low 30's, with temperatures falling late. A buddy of mine is actually friends with James Massen and apparently weght isn't the issue, from what I have been told is that he worked out pretty hard in the off season and gained some muscle and strenght.
-
Lets cut James Massen a little slack, he is a decent player...
-
Its morons like you that will ruin this board and turn it into USCHO west, with your petty little arguments. We don't need that BS here. Before you go on any further and make an @$$ out our yourself move on Skippy. Schmiddty is a good guy and a knowledgable hockey fan, this I know for a fact. You obviously don't know what the heck your talking about. Time to nuke this subject.
-
Apparently SFSioux doesn't know what he is talking about, he is probably one of these rookie band wagon Sioux fans or a student at Lewis and Clark Middle school in Grand Forks. Ok, So I will make it simple for you, first off, James Massen had two (2) pretty strong seasons at UND, last season he had 35 points, this season however has been a struggle for Massen, James suffered a Groin Injury and has had trouble getting going, sure its tough to crack the line up with so many good players. If you have ever suffered a Groin Injury you would know that you really never heal from this injury until you give it some rest...

Hey Man don't leave us hanging, nor can we remember what Blais said about him. I would actually like to see it was the same thing that you are saying.
-
There was one to two minutes left in the game and only one empty net goal was scored.
-
Sorry that would be Without a goalie.

I have to agree the place was rocking during the Sunday game of last year's home series of the WCHA playoffs. I think I felt the arena shake during the third period of the final game. I hope we can witness that again this weekend.
-
Thinking of hockey tonight I was watching the Thrasher - Oilers game tonight. At the end of the third period a hugh melee broke out. Even the goalies ened up facing off at center ice, there were fights breaking out all over the place on the ice, Andy Sutton was whopping up Eric Brewer, and one of the Atlanta players ended up throwing an oiler player into the Atlanta box, at this time the Atlanta player proceded to kick the Oiler player that was on the opposing bench A$$. Now the catch to all this was Atlanta's goalie Byron Dafoe had pulled his groin earlier in the game and had to leave the game/ice during the second period, leaving Atlanta with one goalie so when Ty Conklin dropped the gloves with Atlanta's goalie (I can't spell is name or remember it) at center ice both of the goalies got thrown out of the game after the fight. This caused Atlanta to finish playing the game with-out a goalie to play the rest of the game. Interesting. So I would have to say that I like NHL hockey the most, followed by College hockey.

Actually it might be because Bruckler is a big goalie (Mass and Size wise) too, of all the games I have seen him play: Bruckler is either really on or really not very good. It sounded like Bruckler has been in the zone all year. Either that or our shooters hit a cold spot...

Who is this TROLL?
-
One thing I have notice is that the band has stopped playing over the "Who's he, he sucks..."
