A little of both, I think. Mankato is going to be a good team this year. They'll finish in the top 5 and probably go to the NCAA's. We'll be lucky to have home ice at this rate. But I do think we'll get it together at some point.

I think we are looking at a possible 1-5 or even 1-7 start if we continue this level of play. I do think we will pull it together before Christmas, it's just going to take some time.

He'll break if we can generate some sustained pressure and some quality scoring chances. That means getting some rebounds in front of the net and burying them when we get the chances.

You are correct. We need to start generating better opportunities. Goaltenders at this level will stop shots from the outside if they can see them.

Good luck seeing that anytime soon with this Minnesota Wild-esqe trapping system Hakstol has us playing.

The problem is that we follow up a good shift with a crappy shift. We need a consistent effort, shift in and shift out, game in and game out and we aren't getting it right now.

From what I saw, the SCSU player did not intentionally direct it in. But what do I know?
