BTW, no you cannot. If Gene "The Toolbox" Taylor continues behaving like NDSU is a big-time FBS program, then the game will not happen. And there are exactly two things "The Toolbox" can do about it: nothing and like it! Unless of course the Ag College goes running to Al Carlson and begs him to introduce legislation ordering UND to sign the "our way or the highway" contract that has been shoved in our faces. I wouldn't put it past Taylor to pull a stunt like that.

This is why I don't care if we ever schedule those wanna-be cake eaters ever again. They think they should get whatever they want, whenever they want because they are NDSU and they are special! Fargo is not the center of the universe and NDSU is not a big-time, FBS-esque FB program. And as long as they continue behaving like that, I say screw them. The NFL will be forced to strong-arm Daniel Snyder into changing the team name for PR purposes. You might start seeing corporate sponsors pull their money out and use it elsewhere; that would be the final nail in the coffin. I'm not a huge fan of all this PC nonsense, but I don't think it can be stopped. And if Snyder doesn't like it, he can just sell the team to someone else. Based on the performance of the team during the Snyder regime, it might be a blessing in disguise.
