Whatever. It is not inappropriate for a team's color analyst to be a little bit biased (not like NDSU's broadcast team, but a little biased). Recognizing talented opposing players is one thing; cheerleading them from the other broadcast booth is a little much. I don't think Tony Stein ever did that during his many years in that job; he was 100% pure Kelly Green and White...period. I just am not a big fan of Berg in the broadcast booth; I have nothing against him personally. I think Central FB misses him big-time and wouldn't have two wins over three years if he was still there.

Did we not thump Providence twice at home early last season? And we all know what that team did in April. Some teams start out hot and then cool off. Other teams start out cold and then heat up. I want us to be a team that maintains an even keel all year. Don't get to high when things are good and don't get too low when things are bad.

I thought Bemidji was a solid team, but you are right about the others.

Yes they are, but sometimes guys that light it up in the USHL don't do as well in college. I am glad that these guys are doing it here.

Yes, I have seen the images you have posted on this forum and they do look good. But do you really think the suits in Twamley Hall will adopt anything other than a cartoonish, milk-toast logo that is very hard to get excited about? That is why Fighting Hawks is not a good choice for us.

Yeah, that is what Midco was talking about during the Manitoba game (I watched the replay as I was out of town that evening). I like it so far.

That is a fair statement. But I have noticed some subtle changes in the style of play under Berry. First of all, we seem to carry the puck across the blue line instead of dump-chase-cycle-cycle-cycle all the time. Second of all, we shoot more on the PP instead of passing it around for 1:58 and then taking a shot and hoping it goes in. There are always some subtle changes when a new head coach takes over a program. And so far, I like what I have seen, soft schedule notwithstanding.

I was planning on venting after what looked like yet another Vikings loss at Chicago. But "Prime Time" Teddy Bridgewater delivers in the clutch and so does Blair Walsh and the Vikings win it 23-20. I honestly would have been Thermonuclear ticked off if the Vikings had lost yet another road game to a not-very-good Chicago Bears team, who will probably pick in the top 10 of next year's NFL draft. Skol Vikings!!!

And those things tend to throw a QB off their game. They'll start rushing throws when they don't have to because they start hearing footsteps even if they aren't really there. And that will lead to more INTs and fumbles, which we saw in the 4th quarter on Saturday.

Anyone else notice that once we starting pressuring the QB in the 4th quarter, the defense had better luck getting off the field? That was not a coincidence.

And that is why some species are on the endangered list right now. Overhunting didn't cause problems at first because of the abundance of targets, but it did cause problems over time. Overhunting has caused ND Game and Fish to limit deer hunting licenses to keep from killing off the entire herd. And people spent hours on talk radio b*tching and moaning about how "unfair" it is. Can't have it both ways.

This has to be a sweep. Period. No excuses.

Sweeney is getting better as time goes on and I think he'll work out. At least he is one of us (Michaels never wanted this job and I think everyone knows that).

After listening to E$PN butcher our player's names for years, I guess I don't even bother complaining about it anymore.

To be fair, most of our fan base couldn't pronounce it either.
