  1. I think the list of committed kids on this thread should help ease some of the hand-wringing that has been going on regarding the long-term future of the program. We will get back to the Promised Land.
  2. Well, this would make the FB realignment discussions even more interesting. And complicated.
  3. I don't know if the people's attitudes have changed or not. And Burgum isn't exactly best friends with Al Carlson and the other Legislative leaders in Bismarck. Remember, he ran against the Legislature as the "good old boys club".
  4. Back in 1999, there was a measure on the ballot to take the names of the colleges and universities out of the Constitution, presumably to make it easier to shut down campuses. It was voted down big time (80-20 or something like that). That is why the Legislature won't go there; the people have said HELL NO to shutting down campuses.
  5. "The price is WRONG b!tch!"
  6. I can agree with that, provided we are meeting all NCAA and Summit League requirements for number of sports sponsored.
  7. It will be the same old slop from the Twinkies.
  8. I think WBB and VB should be included in the "core" sports. Five core sports and eleven other sports to meet NCAA and Summit League requirements.
  9. I agree 100%, but it still drives me nuts.
  10. So you want to run this athletic department like a high school? Maintain all sports at all costs......wins and losses be d@mned. Sorry, that is not how a Division I institution should work. Cut us down to 16 sports (that means no more women's hockey) and strengthen our core programs. Anything less is a joke.
  11. Are you Hazen-Beulah's coach?
  12. Either they know and they don't want to believe that their "little angel" is capable of it or they know and don't care. This passive attitude towards bullying has to stop.
  13. Wow, where did you get that from? You just love trying to start arguments on here, don't you?
  14. That depends on what we have coming in and how quickly they adjust to the college game.
  15. It is what it is. Unlike some people on here, I am not predicting inevitable doom for the program based on one bad season.
  16. If he isn't done, the AD's office will need a new boss.
  17. I suppose the shots are 40-10 in UND's favor?
  18. The attitude toward bullying in our society is that it is a "Rite of Passage" and "Part of Growing Up" and "Kids need to be allowed to sow their wild oats" and whatever other garbage is come up with to justify this type of behavior. Thank you JParisien17 for setting the record straight for us. Knowing this, I wish Bismarck had put up 30 goals on the scoreboard.
  19. I think the big, steaming turd that UND laid on the ice has something to do with that!
  20. This is the perspective I am adopting and encouraging other fans to adopt.
  21. Wait a minute! I thought it was all about the players and the only thing the head coach was responsible for was putting together a line-up card and then sitting back to see what happens? At least that is what the "In Hak We Trust" crowd has been saying for years. I do think Berry has to take a second look at a lot of things this offseason, and I think he will, but to say Hakstol would have us fighting for the Penrose again is pure wishful thinking. And if Berry ends up not being able to do this job in the long-run, we'll find somebody else. The program is bigger than any one coach or player. In any event, we will never know how Hakstol would have handled this team.
  22. I'll admit I was thinking "Here we go again." And any fan of this team who says they weren't thinking it is not being honest with themselves or anyone else. And I imagine some of the players were thinking it too.
  23. You are correct. I will not deny that winning #8 last year makes a tough year easier to live with.
