  1. Back when I was growing up (1980's), 32nd Ave S. from Washington to Columbia was open country. Part of S. 20th Street was in open country as well. Now that whole area is pretty much developed. In early 1989, we had a paralyzing blizzard that shut down 32nd Avenue. Now it is more sheltered so it doesn't get shut down like that anymore.
  2. I cannot figure this team out. Hopefully, this version of the team will stick around.
  3. Growth is good. Too much growth too soon is not. They cannot keep up with the urban sprawl in Fargo. That cuts into the quality of life.
  4. When Hugo's is planning on building a new outlet in the 40th to 47th Avenue South area, you know there is growth happening. Not to mention all the new apartments popping up down there. Somebody is moving into those units.......they aren't renting to ghosts.
  5. I have driven down there many times. And their roads are always clogged with vehicles. I am thankful Grand Forks doesn't have that level of urban congestion.
  6. This is why we passed the sales tax increase in November (by a 4 to 1 margin, I might add). I think the section of 42nd you are talking about is (or was) a part of the County and not the City, so you had different jurisdictions in charge of different parts of the road. I think this happened in EGF where one side of the street was County and the other side was City. What is the difference between our forefathers and us? We whine and complain about taxes more than we used to. Everyone wants a free lunch. Well, that doesn't exist.
  7. Stop worrying about what we cannot control and..... Get. It. Done.
  8. In that case, it should be a Minnesota-Jacksonville Super Bowl.
  9. If this had been Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson, Packer fans would want them on Mount Rushmore. So yes, we will celebrate it and be excited about it. Deal with it.
  10. That's because the sports media had an obsession with Favre, Reggie White and the whole Packers franchise. And I don't think betting lines mean all that much when it comes to performance on the field.
  11. 1969 was the last year before the merger, so technically, the Vikings were NFL Champions and the Chiefs were AFL Champions. Then the Chiefs beat the Vikings in the AFL-NFL World Championship Game (which is what it was called back then).
  12. I'll just leave this here!!! #SKOL
  13. If you guys want to get your royal a$$es kissed, it ain't happening on this forum. Take the "My Oh My" show back to Bisonville, please. Thank you. (Not) The Management.
  14. Okay, AZSioux started the series thread. I hope everyone is happy. Need at least 3 points this weekend and I don't care how they get them. The NCHC is ripe for the taking and we need to start making a push NOW.
  15. Not this walking boot crap again! I am not very optimistic for next weekend @ Duluth.
  16. I am pleasantly surprised. Good work by the MBB team.
  17. Must sweep for PWR and momentum purposes.
  18. You should have added 6. Go back to Division II. It makes about as much sense as the rest of your post. #noneatall
  19. Serious question: Would Mannausau end up being RT 2.0? A lot of people didn't care for RT as athletic director.
  20. I think it comes down to either this guy or the WMU guy.
  21. I watched Slap Shot 2 over the holidays. Not bad in the world of sequels.
  22. Some people think the WMU guy has been there too long. Others complain that Elliot hasn't been at one job long enough. Obviously, you can't have it both ways. So do we look for someone in the middle of the spectrum?
  23. Okay, that is fair.
