  1. Dr Jekyll, meet Mr Hyde. #twodifferentteams
  2. Hak wasn't a "failure". But national titles are what separates the good programs from the great ones. And, fairly or not, Hakstol will always be viewed as our "Doug Woog". Every great program has down years and/or periods. That is all I was saying. But nice job bringing Hakstol into it.
  3. FYP. Thank you very much Kris "Bleeping" Kolanos.
  4. 2001-02. I remember it vividly. Except this time, there isn't the novelty of REA to attract people to the games.
  5. I meant years when we don't have home ice and/or don't make the NCAA tournament. It is bound to happen sometime.
  6. Since we'll probably have to have a shutout to win, I'll say 2-0 UND with an empty netter. Anything else results in getting swept at home.
  7. Yep. If your goaltending is bad and your penalty kill is bad, just book a weekend at Club REA and both of them will get better. Or your money back!
  8. The seat is definitely getting warmer for Berry with each bad loss and bad weekend. One other way to look at it is this is just the law of averages sticking its nose in. We were bound to have a down year at some point. We just don't want it to turn into 3 or 5 down years. With all the advantages we have (winning tradition, numerous alums in the NHL, NCAA title two years ago, best facilities in the world), that should not happen. And if it does, I think Berry knows his head will be served up on a platter.
  9. For recruiting the players, of course he should get credit for that.
  10. I didn't say that, but I suppose some people did.
  11. My point is that the recruits people are b!tching about are NOT Berry's, but are Hak's.
  12. This is something that gets lost in the shuffle. Looks like Hak picked the perfect time to leave.
  13. Bubba is definitely on a warm seat for the 2018 season. Whether or not that seat gets warmer or cooler will depend on how we bounce back from 2017, which was an unmitigated disaster.
  14. Okay, it just seems like there has been a lot of talk about commits struggling.
  15. Anyone else a little concerned that a good number of our commits are "struggling in juniors"?
  16. I suspect those numbers will improve drastically this weekend.
  17. I am not optimistic about this team and this season, but I guess we'll find out.
  18. Or we can go after Foles. Everyone knows he has no future in Philadelphia, but he could fill an important position with a team that is very close to winning a title.
  19. I said "if". Beautiful job of selectively reading my comment.
  20. If that is indeed the case, then that is a huge red flag.
  21. The idea of OT is to determine a definite winner and cut down on the number of ties. Going 4 x 4 for 10 minutes would accomplish both goals a lot better than the current setup.
  22. Totally different issue. But nice try.
  23. 4 x 4 would result in fewer ties. And it is not nearly as gimmicky as 3 x 3 or the infernal shootout. 5 x 5 would encourage coaches to trap and play for the tie. That is much harder to do with 4 x 4.
  24. The NCAA needs to implement 4 x 4, 10 minute OT for all conferences. Then we can get rid of the shootouts, 3 x 3 gimmicks and whatever else there is.
  25. Hey, why ruin a good b!tch fest?
