Splitting on the road in this conference is acceptable. Now we need to sweep WMU at home this weekend. The offense is already better than last year. Who cares which school our next HC comes out of? It would be brilliant to hire someone from a successful program who knows them from the inside out and probably knows where to find talented recruits. Putting Santiago in the slot would create major match-up problems for defenses. Putting him in the slot with JJ and Brady in the backfield would be even better.

This team is a work in progress. Saturday night's win was a big step forward, but now we are playing an historical rival in Las Vegas. That will be another big test for this team. The best players on this team are not upperclassmen, which is why you are seeing the ups and downs from one game to the next and even one shift to the next. The potential is there to be very, very good. I think by December or January we'll know what we have.
