So I guess we can put that contract extension for Brewster on hold for now?
-
Wow, that is some good regional and national coverage for the program!
-
Literally AND Figuratively. I'll bet he's a two year player at the most.
-
I guess I was referring to the injuries at defense and Pinto's suspension.
-
The team is facing their first real adversity this season. This will test their character and depth. I think they will be up to the task.
-
The NCAA's fighting rules pretty much preclude that from happening. Mike Commodore would have cleaned his clock, but he also would have been suspended for it.
-
Some people are better position coaches and/or coordinators than they are head coaches. And nobody can win at Northern State, you have very few resources to work with there. Let's not pull this out of the closet:
-
Good points, but a last-place team in the NCHC is different than a last-place team in other leagues (like the WCHA for instance). Every game is a battle.

Here is an example of what I am talking about: Kirk Cousins finally comes up big, hits two huge throws to lift Vikings over Saints in overtime
-
He moved a couple of guys from DE to DT to exploit weaknesses in the Saint's OL. That put pressure on Brees and made him ineffective most of the day. These changes were widely reported in the media after the game. Zimmer gets criticized for not making adjustments by a lot of people, not just me. But if that makes me obtuse, so be it.
-
Responding to all this "Jimmy's and Joe's" talk. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Saints in OT on the road in part because Zimmer made some key adjustments to the defense. If he had been stubborn and stuck to his base scheme (which is what Bubba does too often, btw), Brees and company would have carved them up like a roast and the Vikings would be talking about next year right now. Adjusting your scheme to fit your personnel is a big part of it.

This is even better than the 8 team playoff I posted about a month ago.

Brewster named new Women's BB Coach

The last two seasons were brutal. I am very happy about their performance so far, but the criticism Brewster was facing before this season was justified. -
Alabama-Huntsville @ UND -- Saturday Gameday
fightingsioux4life replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
They were rusty after the layoff. The opponent was not the caliber they see in the NCHC, so I think it might have been hard for them to get up for the games. Once they get back into the routine of practice and playing games every weekend, they will be fine. -
Playing Devil's Advocate, LSU dismantled Georgia in the SEC title game and Georgia is a good team. Nobody has been able to solve their offense this year. And I don't know if Clemson or Ohio State will be able to either.
-
I never saw this coming.....but it is nice to see.
-
Interesting to say the least.
-
So you are already penciling in next Monday's game as a W? Doh-kay.
-
Yeah, that 6-9-1 record last year was "so-lid".
-
I think I will use this as a rebuttal to anyone claiming the "superiority" of the Little 7 (opps, I mean Big Ten).
-
I have wanted this ever since you guys moved up to NCAA Division I. We need to help newer programs get stronger so we don't lose them.
-
The last two seasons were very down in terms of performance on the ice. And we had no way of knowing if the younger guys would improve like they have. Or if the freshmen were going to contribute early or later. But yeah, there was a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth on this forum.

No worries. Thanks for pointing that out; I have clarified it in the original post. -
FBS Playoff Expansion & Realignment

Those are suggestions of possible scholarship levels after splitting FBS. I know what the current levels are. I think I should clarify it in the original post.
