  1. I wonder if this team is weak enough for us to be competitive with. Seriously, this is another non-conference game with PWR implications. A regulation win is a must.
  2. You know Duluth will turn it around.
  3. Overnight? We have been Division I for 15 years! We didn't just move up yesterday. And I never said a word about firing anyone. If anything, UND has let down the athletic department by not giving the coaches what they need to be successful. That goes back to not having a plan to finance our programs at a Division I funding level. We are using a Division II funding model and it simply does not work. Also, I am one person on this forum calling for an end to the hockey-only vs. everyone else nonsense. We are all on the same team here. We all want successful programs because they are a great marketing tool for the entire institution. And I don't think criticism is a sin. If anything, people venting on here shows they care about the programs and want them to be better. Apathy is the opposite of love, not hate. Finally, winning an FCS title should be the goal. This is one of two sports on campus with a realistic chance to win an NCAA title. So yes, that is a point of emphasis for some people on here. I know some people think we should post nothing but positive things, but negatives need to be pointed out too. Just my opinion.
  4. If they take stupid personal foul and targeting penalties like they did today in the playoffs, it will cost them.
  5. It's been "beaten to death" because there is a grain of truth to it. We have been wandering in the FCS wilderness for 15 years now. At some point, we need to beat someone we are not supposed to and make a statement. Like when we broke the 12 year losing streak to NDSU in 1993 at home; our program went to the national semifinals that year. How long of a wait is too long? Where do we draw the line? This team is close to being special, but whether or not we ever get over the hump remains to be seen.
  6. Go to 4x4 OT for 10 minutes. If it ends as a tie, then so be it. No more $@#&?!* shootouts.
  7. Looks like we will have to play well next Saturday to win.
  8. Same garbage they have been spewing for years. Putting up with them in St. Paul every March is one thing I do not miss about having them in the same conference as us.
  9. Yep. Split on the road and sweep at home. Gradual improvement week by week and we'll be clicking on all cylinders by Christmas.
  10. And you are happy with moral victories. That is what is wrong with this program; people just accept mediocrity and expect everyone else to go along. 15 years of this nonsense is enough.
  11. The meltdown in the 3rd quarter didn't have to happen. That is why people have trouble getting excited about this program again; in the back of their minds, they know there will be a letdown. At some point, we need to have a statement win vs. a team like SDSU. Otherwise, we'll be stuck in the mud forever.
  12. People are sick of losing and being average. I would rather have that vs. apathy and low expectations.
  13. But according to some people on here, we shouldn't expect to beat teams like Minnesota. Seriously, I agree with you. We are a blue blood in this sport, not a mid-major hoping to hang with teams.
  14. The Jacks are dirty and classless. Makes me think twice about supporting them in the playoffs.
  15. Better them than the Stream Yellow crowd in Imperial Cass.
  16. Tired of moral victories. This is a disaster. No way to spin it.
  17. Too early to paint us as not that good. But we have to figure it out before we dig too deep of a hole. PS: Love the Caddyshack reference.
  18. Let's see us do something with it first.
  19. This looks bad.
  20. NAU was no SDSU.
  21. Personal foul SDSU.
