Heck no! This is big boy hockey (NCHC)! We don't do that crap here!
-
The 2016 title team was explosive on offense. It was built by Hak and coached by Berry. So I think the answer is more complicated than that.
-
We used a variation of their jersey for years and most of us loved it.
-
I am beginning to come to the same conclusion myself.
-
I AGREE with you 1000%, I don't want UND anywhere close to that conference.
-
It's not losing as much as how we are losing (poor effort, bad d-zone coverage). There is tremendous upside with this team, but things need to change and soon.
-
I remember him. Got dismissed from team for violating "team rules".

My use of when making those comments should be sufficient to inform the reader of my intentions, but I guess not.
-
Heck no! That is the last thing we need.
-
I've seen comments the last couple of years stating we cannot expect to land blue chip recruits anymore because kids want that "B1G experience". They imply our days as a blueblood program are essentially over. Even the implication pisses me off.
-
But according to some people here, it's all about the B1G and we need to resign ourselves to being a plucky little mid-major from now on. Seriously though, I agree with you. Post of the year candidate.

Quit trolling.

You would think.......

Feeling sick today, otherwise I would be there. Not a good start.

Do you have to bring that up here? Can we read some good news on here for a change? (Definitely not smiling)

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

Maybe this is a ploy to justify a move to FBS? -

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

The little school budgets are pocket change compared to UND and NDSU. Besides, I think we are drifting off topic a little. Why is NDSU in bigger budget trouble than UND? Poor planning? -

But even during the heart of the oil boom, the state was looking for excuses to "rightsize" higher education funding. I still think some of NDSU's problems started with Chapman's nonsense. -

Is some of this fallout from the schenanigans of "Whiskey Joe" Chapman? -
You just summarized the problem. Low expectations lead to average results. Think big, dream bigger..........or become Golden Gopher Football!!!

Good idea from UND athletic marketing (can't believe I actually typed that!).
-
I wonder if this team is weak enough for us to be competitive with. Seriously, this is another non-conference game with PWR implications. A regulation win is a must.

2022-23 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

You know Duluth will turn it around. -
Overnight? We have been Division I for 15 years! We didn't just move up yesterday. And I never said a word about firing anyone. If anything, UND has let down the athletic department by not giving the coaches what they need to be successful. That goes back to not having a plan to finance our programs at a Division I funding level. We are using a Division II funding model and it simply does not work. Also, I am one person on this forum calling for an end to the hockey-only vs. everyone else nonsense. We are all on the same team here. We all want successful programs because they are a great marketing tool for the entire institution. And I don't think criticism is a sin. If anything, people venting on here shows they care about the programs and want them to be better. Apathy is the opposite of love, not hate. Finally, winning an FCS title should be the goal. This is one of two sports on campus with a realistic chance to win an NCAA title. So yes, that is a point of emphasis for some people on here. I know some people think we should post nothing but positive things, but negatives need to be pointed out too. Just my opinion.
