  1. Exactly, Canada is not immune to this pandemic. The entire world is impacted by this.
  2. I second this. And anyone else who has games they want to upload, please do so as well.
  3. It is entirely possible that Illinois and other schools have private donors who are not being announced yet for whatever reason. Don't assume that public money is going to fund these D-I start-ups.
  4. He last visited October 20, 2018. I hope he is okay.
  5. https://www.si.com/college/illinois/olympic-sports/illinois-hockey-program-update-josh-whitman-march-6-2020 This was before the pandemic screwed everything up, but I really don't think they will scrap the entire plan because of it. It is obvious that sooner or later, Illinois will have D-I hockey and will give the Big 10 Conference an eighth team.
  6. I think once this pandemic has run its course, you will have a bunch of announcements from Navy, Illinois and others. They are just waiting until things calm down.
  7. Who knows what happened behind closed doors. I am sure Sather had his reasons.
  8. In the post 2005 lockout NHL, he would have. But this was during the era of having to be 6'5" 250 pounds just to get a tryout.
  9. I have two of them. Sorry I don't have any to spare.
  10. I've been watching these games on my television using an Amazon Firestick (where has this been my whole life?).
  11. Most of the VHS tapes are in pretty good condition. Even the 1982 NCAA title game was pretty good except for that brief part early in the third period.
  12. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Thank you @Blackheart for all the effort.
  13. The 2006 team was also very young and not ready for the big stage. I wasn't totally surprised they struggled in the national semifinals. The disasters in 2007 and 2008 were much more painful and harder to swallow.
  14. Every time I see Wentzel's smiling puss, I know it's more bad news.
  15. I was there as well and I went absolutely ballistic when that happened. That punk took two or three extra steps so he could plow into Kollar. If this had happened in a different era, Commie would have ended his career.
  16. This is a true gem. I remember watching this with my dad when I was almost 8 years old. Thanks for posting this!
  17. But isn't that a good "problem" to have? Having that many talented players means we'll get scoring from lines that usually don't score much.
  18. That's the problem; it isn't supposed to be a "career award". If it was, Greg Johnson (RIP) would have won it at least once.
  19. Yeah and then St. Cloud won in overtime on a bad angle shot.
  20. It isn't a game involving our team, but does anybody have the 2006 WCHA Final Five Semifinal game between the Goofs and St. Cloud State? It was an instant classic and it foreshadowed what would happen at REA one week later!
  21. Kaip and Watkins.
  22. I am guessing he didn't want to leave UND after the cancelled post-season.
  23. That is what I was hoping to hear!
  24. Correction on the year: It was 2009, not 2010. And it looks like we completed the sweep on Saturday with a 6-1 win.
  25. I think he had some health issues he was dealing with at the time.
